Microsoft Reverses Online Requirement and Used Game Restrictions
Posted on Wednesday, June 19 2013 @ 14:24:07 PST

Microsoft just dropped a bomb! No 24 hour check in, no used game restrictions, region free!

The negative being that it sounds like they are removing the sharing aspect (10 family members sharing your games). It sounded really cool, but most people were more interested in the normal way of doing things. I hope they eventually bring this back to the table, even for digital downloads only. They've also added back discs needing to be in the tray in order to play them.

Honestly, they kind of had to do this based on the feedback. But I was excited to not have to change discs ever and have my friends able to play my games whenever they want (those in the 10 anyway).

People online are being quick to dismiss this as "too little too late", but 4-5 months from launch I'm sure it won't be as big an issue as if they'd waited longer.
