After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

Is Our Culture Being Stolen?
Posted on Monday, June 18 2007 @ 12:36:29 PST

I never really thought about this, but after looking at a comic strip of Penny-Arcade (, i realized that our culture was being taken away. Think of it, how many people do you see who play video games look like this? Almost all of them right? Now, i don't know about you, but the guys who are suppose to play games usually look like this. Do we really want the cool kids to be a part and take over our culture? I certainly don't.

"Why don't you want normal people to play video games?" one may ask. To clarify things, i'm not saying that your grandma cannot play video games, the ones who shouldn't play video games are the cool kids. I mean, they beat us up for liking video games in the first place, right?

I should also mention that they are responsible for some of the downfalls in video games. they are responsible for PC gaming dying, why there is few innovation in video games, why EA is succsesful, why Final Fantasy VII is popular, and many others.

This is all Sony's fault. They are targeting the cool kids to buy their consoles, which has caused our culture to be on the brink of death.
