. . . . .The recent release of FFXIII's new  trailer has stirred my sleeping love affair with you (the Final Fantasy series).   Winter cannot come soon enough for good ol' Urban.  The infinite possibilites that accompany the release of FF's latest edition are keeping me up at night.  Which characters will I fall in love with?  What will the women of FFXIII be wearing? What songs in the game will I be forced to learn to play on piano? What will the fan art look like?  How bad ass is the main villian going to be? Are the going to kill off the black guy?
. . . . .These things creep into my thoughts while I'm at work.  If you doubt me or my love for you,  then ask yourself how many people plan on taking the week off for the game's release... This guy. [Hopefully it comes out during a holiday, but I am fully prepared to do my fanboy duty.]   Inbetween FF releases I play games like GTA4, Fifa, Mirrors Edge, and End War, but at the end I feel dirty and cheap. Its not like that with you. Sure those other games make me feel good, temporarily, but none of them make me feel like I'm the only one. Only you keep me company during those sleepless night. Only when I hear your songs do I play an instant AMV in my head.  Only you - force me to write blogs about you. Whether I love you (7) or Hate you and wish you never existed (X-2), your still the only one for me.

How do I rank you?  I would never lessen you by  comparing you to others. NO WAY.
Well, since you guys are ASKING.. All receive Fantastic marks, but Relative to each other - they need to be ordered.  MY favorite fantasy list looks something like this:

Final Fantasy VII - Was there ANY doubt.
Final Fantasy VIII - very good - 7's a tough act to follow but you measure up well.
Final Fantasy Tactics -  This game is right on 8's tail IMO, and for PS its an instant classic
Final Fantasy XII - Great Characters, Great plot, good graphics - better gameplay (easy armor - attributes system to navigate - good side quests).
Final Fantasy X -  [ not as involved with the characters, but hearing their voices helped keep me stay connected to the ridiculous story line] Game saved by the Aeons (summons)
Final Fantasy I & II - played them together so I will rank them together - interesting to play the game and see that very little had changed about the other than the graphics.
Final Fantasy IX - ehhh... memorable characters.. nothing else.
Final Fantasy XI - lets try to stay classy Square, eh?  Have a little respect for yourself. You shouldnt have to stoop to selling yourself monthly.
Final Fantasy X-2 - .... I could not GIVE this game away, no one wanted it - sold it back to Gamestop for 1/5 of the original price and went to Mickey D's with the $$$.

So sayeth Urban... the son of Odin.
