LATEST FEATURES Being A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.

Anticipation
Posted on Wednesday, April 9 2008 @ 21:42:04 Eastern

So the year is 2008, video games have existed in some form or another for a little over four decades. One of the most hotly anticipated games EVER is just around the corner and I am (almost) literally pissing myself with excitement. The only way I could be more excited is if Katie Downes personally delivered it to me and proceeded to jump me, that would be a good day. But anyway, that's not what this entry is about. As the frequent readers of my blog will no doubt be aware I often pick a small point and proceed to extrapolate to ridiculous degrees on to various other subjects... wait, I have got frequent readers haven't I? Well if I did, that's what they'd notice along with my sparkling personality and amazing writing ability.

This time it's about... well, anticipation. You'd guessed that from the title though, right?. I truly can't remember the last time I was this excited about a game. I've pre-ordered games many times before, the most pertinent being GTA:Vice City but also including Halo 3 and Bioshock but even with those games I wasn't looking forward to their release a month in advance. So I guess this is a pisser about growing up, being less easily pleased. Still though, GTA carries with it a great heritage and the fourth instalment (yeah I know it's not actually the fourth but I can't be arsed to figure out what it actually is) promises to be incredible even if it does follow the established formula. Graphics have obviously received an upgrade but along with that animations, combat controls and many more things have been improved. The media and the public alike are lying in wait for the release, are you? You should be, go and order the game, try your hardest to get a copy. Just don't get my copy, if you get my copy you better run... fast.
