Deus EX 3!!

pray to the holy gods of gaming they don't screw it up without the creators running the show.

if all goes to plan, i might finally get what i've waited so long for. a game that truly encourages your own style of gameplay. but i've been pumped by marketing suits one too many times on this now.

bioshock...linear with no choices...a plot point to spoil it for some

mass effect... linear...some choices, but once again biowares living in a fantasy realm where chivalry is alive and well and the only alternative to being a model of valour is stomping on children, and breaking the necks of puppies.

halo 3, no those snipers shifting tree's on subsequent playthroughs does not increase replay value. one section on one level doesn't count

so forgive me if i'm not as hyped as i'd like to be that deus ex 3 will exist in the next 12-24 months. i just don't see them getting non-linear gameplay right somehow.
