LATEST FEATURES Being A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.

Everything I Learned About Call of Duty: Ghosts Last Week
I wasn't allowed to talk about the new Infinity Ward game last week when I met with Activision, and I don't have much to say now that Xbox One spilled the beans.

Nope, Definitely Needs More Human
Posted on Monday, August 18 2008 @ 19:39:45 Eastern

As the Internet bides its time, waiting for foolish folks with fame to inspect the glowing dangling bobble tethered just in front of its gaping maw, Dennis Dyack's magnum opus hits the shelves with an unwavering will to rewrite the way we think.

Did it happen yet?

****. Looks like that didn't quite pan out like Dyack and I thought. In fact, Too Human, Dyack's cyber-Norse action RPG, is receiving more feigned praise than the winner of NBC's The Biggest Loser. Running the gammut of scores from "D to "C+," Too Human is proving that anyone can do nothing well.

Jokes aside, I'm going to take this opportunity to get nice and smug. Mmmmmm. You like that, Earth? You diggn' that shallow herky jerk nonsense Silicon Knights wants you to believe is melee combat? See how sweet it is when everyone uses mildly distinguishable combat styles and surpluses of "epic" loot are threatening the landfill space used by so many copies of ET? I told you so. I wasn't alone, though. Dyack's defensiveness and reptition of circular logic bullshit like "play it yourself before judging it," should've raised red flags for most people. Sure, Dennis. Can I pay you $60 to find out if getting kicked in the nuts still hurts, too?

That's about it. Back to World of Warcraft.

Dynasty Warriors has better combat system mechanics. That says a lot. For a game that was originally supposed to come out for the PS1, Too Human was a bit of a let down. It was still mildly entertaining, but certainly not worth the price of a full game, especially when you consider its length. (beaten in 15 hours)

I don't know about you, but Too Human is actually pretty good if you actually learn it. at first I was dying at the drop of a nail, but it was purely because I was fighting wrong. Once you get the mechanics of the game, not only does it flow well, but it also plays extremely fun. 15 hours is pretty standard these days, and the game is definately worthy of replayage. I hate that Too Human is getting a public flogging purely because of people used to one type of game, with one type of combat mechanic.
