Just beat their story mode once.
Milliardo Peacecraft and Epyon:
Beat Heero's story in original mode.
Amuro Ray:
Successfully complete the EFF campaign on the Very Hard difficulty setting, then load the cleared saved game to unlock Amuro Ray.
Char Aznable:
Successfully complete the Zeon campaign on the Very Hard difficulty setting, then load the cleared saved game to unlock Char Aznable.
Fraw Bow:
Successfully complete a campaign on the Very Hard difficulty setting, then load the cleared saved game to unlock Fraw Bow.
Gundam:
Achieve the rank of "Warrant General" rank to unlock Gundam.
Kai Shiden:
Successfully complete a campaign on the Very Hard difficulty setting, then load the cleared saved game to unlock Kai Shiden.
Kampfer:
Achieve the rank of "Lt. Colonel" in the Zeon campaign to unlock Kampfer.
RX-78-2 Gundam:
Achieve the rank of "Colonel" in the Federation campaign to unlock RX-78-2 Gundam.
