Note: High scores will not be recorded if any cheats are enabled.
Reset all cheats:
To disable all cheats without resetting the game, enter NOCHEATS in the code-field
on the options-screen.
Motion-blur:
Enter "SOFTHEAD" in the code-field on the options-screen. The frame-rate will
be set to 25fps even if you have only 3 enemies. I suppose reading the health-warnings
in the manual would be even more appropriate now...
Demo-scene names:
On the credits-screen, hold down L1, L2, R1, R2, Square and Circle. You must
not hold down any other buttons. The names will then change to show the demo-alias'
and group of all the people.
Disco-smoke:
On Goldbridge: At the gas station, drive backwards around the gas-pumps three
(3) times within 20 seconds. You need to pass the door with a speed of at least
40kph. If you do it correctly, a small text will appear on screen and your car
will start giving off colored smoke when sliding.
Insanity-mode:
Enter the code "INSANITY" on the options-screen. Exit back to the front menu
(where you select one/two players) and wait for the demo-mode to activate. It
will be much longer, have new music, motion-blur and some other nice effects.
Overhead View:
Enter the code "SUPERCAR" on the options-screen. The camera will now look down
from above on the track.
RocketMan:
On Redrock: You need to go to the dead-end at the tunnel in the beginning of the long
straight within 30 seconds from start. Well there you must drive backwards at at least
20kph. A message should appear and now you probably have the fastest car ever in a
racing-game.
Unlock division 1:
Enter the code "FRAGTIME" on the options-screen. You will gain access to cars
and tracks from division 1.
Unlock division 2:
Enter the code "COWRULES" on the options-screen. This will unlock tracks and
cars from division 2.
Hidden message:
Enter "SH4" as your name in the high-score-list and the credits-screen will
be replaced with a short message.
BatCave:
On NeoCity: Just below the long hill, before you reach the cinema and the disco,
drive through the wall on the first house to the left, and you will find pictures
of the PSX graphics-team.
Bouncing cars:
Locate the alley to the left of the road outside the Atlantika Central Station
building. Drive from this point to the left corner on the right side of the
building in less than twenty seconds.
Jeep-mode:
On RuhrStadt: Park your car outside the "The Black Lotus" club for 15 seconds.
You will now get high suspension and a much softer ride!
External cameras:
On Olympos: Drive out on the heli-bridge (on the long straight before the road-block
up to the plaza) and stay there for 10 seconds. You will now get an extra view-option
in addition to inside and outside the car.
Unlock track 7:
Enter the code "TURBOMOS" on the options-screen. You will now unlock everything
except the last car and the last track.
Moon gravity:
On NolbyHills: Fly into the leftmost garage with the "Digital Illusions" sign
with at least 75kph. You now have moon gravity!
