Hints

Recruit A Wingman

Considering bringing a wingman along for the ride. These allies watch your back during a mission, and will help keep enemies off your tail. Keep in mind that you'll hire one of these pilots for one mission, and not the entire game.

Meet The Requrements

It's rather simple: missions will be a lot tougher if you don't meet the suggested requirements for battle. For example, if a stage asks you to have a frost-based plane, missiles and guns. Check the symbols on the mission icon, then match them up with similar icons within your arsenal. If you don't have the required elements, purchase them. It'll make things easier if you have them.

Official Tips

Static weapons will cause an enemy to lose control of their plane and plummet towards the ground.
Acid weapons will cause an enemy to take periodic damage over time.
Grubs will latch onto your plane! Swipe upwards to perform a loop maneuver to shake them off!
Three piece of intel are required to unlock each planet's final mission.
Elemental planes and weapons are the key to success. Make sure you have the right gear equipped!
Need that extra edge? Search for power-ups in each mission!
Frost weapons slow enemies to a crawl, making them easier targets!
Some missiles have large explosions that can damage many enemies at once!
Keep an eye out for gold supply drops. They contain large amounts of Xplodium or XP. Sometimes they contain a rare item!
Swipe straight down to perform a quick 180-degree turn!
Keep an eye out for laser sights targeting you. It means a sniper is nearby!
The element type of each enemy is displayed on their health bar.
