Misleading Paintings
There are 2 paintings, or level entrances that blend in with the wall around them. 1 can be foundin the basement of the castle. Turn right from the entrance to "lethal Lava land" and jump into the wall to find yourself in a desert type place. The other is in the room with the big mirror on the top floor. jump into the wall to the left, to head to a winter level.

Get Every Glowing Rabbit Easily:
Right when you see a glowing rabbit, switch over to Yoshi. Then go to the end of the bridge of the castle, where Yoshi always has up to 3 rabbits, and see if any of them are glowing. If not, walk in / walk out and check again. After doing this a while, some will be glowing. Keep this up to get all 8 glowing rabbits.

Tons of Free Lives:
Go into the hazy maze on level 6 as anyone except Yoshi. Go through the maze until you see a red block, hit it, grab the mushroom, and turn the corner. Keep running in circles right over the holes the moles pop out of and keep killing them until your rack up as many lives as you can. .

Unlock Mario:
Go to the rec room, through the 8-star door, through the level, and defeat Goomboss.

Unlock Luigi:
Use Mario and stomp the large ghost in the court yard, then head into Boo's Mansion and beat Big Boo.

Unlock Wario:
Use Luigi and Jump into Wario's painting in the mirror room, then beat the ice bully.

Unlock The Cannon:
Get 150 stars, go outside the castle, and you will find Luigi's Rabbit among other goodies.

1-Up Butterflies:
Punch the butterflies in either Tiny-Huge Island, Bomb-Omb Battlefield, or Whomp's Fortress. At times, they might turn into enemies, but overall it's worth it.

Easy Lives
Get to the castle's roof before getting 150 stars: Go to the right side of thd castle, you see a slope that leads to a moat. Don't slide it down, you can see two walls. Now just try the wallkick a few times untill you get t the rooftop. U can get 3 one-ups on there, and if have you have mastered this trick u can do this everytime to get 3 one-ups if you pick them up, go inside the castle, come back again and again.

Toad wears your hat:
To make this trick work, play as Mario, Luigi or Wario (because they have hats). Enter a level where you can lose the hat, like Tiny-Huge Island and lose it. Then, without the hat, press Start button and Quit. You will be outside the castle without a hat. Enter the castle and get any star from any level. After getting the star make Save and Continue. Now go talk to the Toad that is nearer the castle front door. He will be wearing your hat !
