    MAY 31, 2007 ~ JULY 26, 2007: Incomplete version.

    JULY 26 ~ AUGUST 11, 2007: Version 2.0 to Version 3.0

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    August 15, ~ September 6, 2007 Version 3.0 to Version 4.0
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
September 7, 2007: Today is sort of a happy day for me. One thing I was
sort of scared about when I started this guide was
writing a contest guide that had some decent info in
it. Well, I am happy to say that I finally got the
contest guide done (Even though it does lack examples
of good Pokemon to use...I sort of went against my
own examples while doing the contests and barely
managed to squeak by the Master Rank in all 5 contest
types). If anyone has any info on good Pokemon to use,
feel free to send it in.

                       Anywho, here are the updated:

                       -Added the contest guide
-Updated the section # for the Accesories locations
                        and berry list.

Next thing should be the Ribbon guide, and maybe a
small guide in how to raise Milotic.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    September 8, 2007: Few changes:

-Added a small note on Route 214 for people having
                        trouble finding Cynthia

-Corrected a few mistakes with the Natures list and
updated it to a Natures Guide (Added a little bit
                        of info on it)

-A person was kind enough to email in a strategy
                        on catching Cresselia.

-Finally added the Pokemon Battle Revolution guide
with items and the Pokemon obtainable in that
                        game.

                       -Added a Mystery Gift Guide

-Added a guide on how to transfer Manaphy over to
                        D/P.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
September 9, 2007: This was something I was planning on doing when
I was close to finishing the guide, and since I
am I decided to go ahead and add it.

                        -Pokemon movelist section added.

The movelist section is mostly my own personal
movesets that I have either seen other people
use with great success, or made myself. I also
put a form up for anyone who may want to submit
their own. I added 4 Pokemon, and I plan on
                        adding more in the future.

UPDATE #2: Added a few new things:

-I seperated the Legendary Pokemon from the
Post National Dex section and put them
                         in their own seperate one.

-Some of the section numbers have been updated

-I updated the Feebass section from a small article
to a misc guide about how to evolve it into Milotic
                         as well.

-Added Pokemart info for each city

-Added the Pokemart Item section in the misc guides
                         section

-Added the Pokeradar Pokemon to the Post-National
                         Dex section.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
September 16, 2007: Took a small break on the guide. Few things:

-Started to add trainers to the guide, something
I wanted to do for quite some time but never really
                         got the chance.

-Also started to reformat the actual text in the
guide so it aligns better and looks much more
                         pretty

-Made a few corrections here and there, also added
some catching info on Dialga/Palkia that someone
                         submitted.

                        -Added a Dragonite moveset.

-Added the GTS Website guide in the Wi-Fi section
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
September 19, 2007: Finally, after a few days of working on it, I got all
the trainers for the main story part of the game up
in the guide. Next update should be some formatting
                        and corrections.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
September 25, 2007: Sorry for the small update, bunch of stuff going on.
This is mostly corrections and a few additions sent
                        in by readers.

-Added another location for the Odd Keystone in the
                         Spiritomb Section

-Added the Maze solution for Snowpoint Temple AKA
                         where Regigias is.

-Fixed a error with Nincada's egg steps

-Very small update with the Drifloon event

-Added a specific location for the PP Max

-For some weird reason, I forgot that you needed
to go back to your house and talk to your mother
after you get the Pokedex (It happends when you
have to write certain bits and pieces from memory
when a reference doesn't list everything). Anywho,
                         it has been corrected.

-Even though it is more for Pokemon Battle Revolution,
I added the code on how to get Electivire in PBR
and how to transfer it over. Note that this only
works for the US and PAL releases.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
October 1, 2007: New month! Not only that, but Pokemon D/P has now
been out in Japan for 1 year now. Few things:

-The guide has now hit 500,000 hits in only 5 months
on Gamefaqs alone (I would estimate about 600,000
or so hits total across the web). I would like to
say thanks to all my readers for all your help and
corrections so far. I'm honestly surprised I am
                          still writing for the guide.

-I decided to update the trainer info in the main
guide to include EV info as well as if you can
battle them with the VS Seeker again.

-A made a minor correction with Cynthia about a
comment about Spiritomb not being catchable
                          before the Elite Four

-I added a question in the FAQ section about a reader
asking about what I meant by "levels" when I was
talking about attacks. I do plan on writing a more
                          in-depth version in the future.

-Added a small note on the resort area ribbon club
stating that it may be possible to get in with 8
                          ribbons instead of 10.

-I added a few tips from a user named Wraith3644

Also, to let people know: I will be starting college
at the end of October, so updates will become scarce
after that time. Another thing: If I do not respond
to your email: I have been really busy with stuff
lately, so there is a good chance I might not be
able to get back to it even if its a legit question
                         or request.

Anywho, this should be it for the trainers part. Next
update should be starting on the backlog of the to-do
list and getting some stuff out of the way.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
October 5, 2007: Not much is different, but it is still a semi-big
                         update

-Added the legendary trio (Uxie, Azelf, and Mespirit)
                          in the Legendary Section

Ever since I started the guide, the lake trio was
some of the most requested thing people have been
wanting. For some odd reason, I never really got
                         to it until today.

Next update should be working on some of the minor
things on the to-do list and get those out of the
way before I start on the Battle Area guide.

                                    ----

As you begin the game, you will be asked for your name and gender, as well
as the name for your rival. Be aware that once you make a choice, you
cannot change it. Once you do begin the game, you will be on the top floor
of your house(Your room). Go downstairs and your mother will tell you that
your rival is looking to you. Head outside to continue (Although this is
obvious information, the doors or exits usually have a place mat or stairs/
elevator of some kind to mark where it is).

As you can see, Twinleaf is a small town. There is a small puddle down
south, but there is nothing you can get from it. There are three other
houses in town; two of which have nothing in them. To get to your rivals
house, go to the house that is in the northwest corner of town. Once you
talk to your rival, go in his house to find out where he went. Head north
to Route 201 to find your rival. He will then ask you to go with him to
Verity Lake, which is to the left of where you are at now. Head there now.

You will catch your first glimpse of the Prof. and his assitant, the
opposite gen er you choose (Dawn if you are a male and Lukas if you are a
female). Rowan will talk to you for a minute and then walk off without his
briefcase with the starters in it. Suddenly, you will be attacked on both
sides by wild Starly. You will now be able to choose your starter.

Which one should you choose? Well, several factors come into play:

*Do you know anyone else that has this game, and if so what starter did
they get? Although you can get other starters via online trading, it
would help to know what the other people around you have so you can get
     them a bit easier.

*How experienced are you with previous Pokemon games? Turtwig evolves late
at level 18, but evolves much earlier then the others at level 32 and has
dual grass/ground type. Chimchar evolves earlier at level 14, but evolves
like normal at level 36 and has fire/fighting type. Piplup evolves the
latest at level 16, and then 36 with water/steel type.

*Each have their own uses with gyms. Here is a example of each:

    +------------------------------------------------------------------------+
    | First Gym: Rock |(Turtwig and Piplup are strong, and Chimchar is |
    | | weak against it until it gains fighting moves |
    | | when it evolves) |
    |----------------------|-------------------------------------------------|
    | Second Gym: Grass |(Chimchar is the strongest here, while Piplup |
    | | is the weakest) |
    |----------------------|-------------------------------------------------|
    | Third Gym: Fighting |(None are strong here, although Chimchar has |
    | | a type advantage against the leader's Lucario) |
    |----------------------|-------------------------------------------------|
    | Fourth Gym: Water |(Turtwig is the strongest here, while Chimchar |
    | | is the weakest) |
    |----------------------|-------------------------------------------------|

    | | noteable is Chimchar's evolutions fighting |
    | | moves are ineffective against ghost types) |
    |----------------------|-------------------------------------------------|
    | Sixth Gym: Steel |(Chimchar is very effective here, while Turtwig |
    | | is fairly weak) |
    |----------------------|-------------------------------------------------|
    | Seventh Gym: Ice |(Chimchar is effective here, although its |

    | Eighth Gym: Electric |(Turtwig's evolutions are very strong here, |
    | | while Piplup is weak here) |
    +------------------------------------------------------------------------+

As you can see, Chimchar is the most effective type-wise against the Gyms,
while Turtwig comes in second. Piplup is not very effective in most of the
gyms. Anywho, you should easily be able to KO the Starly that attacked you.
Once that happens, the Prof.'s Assistant will show up and take the
briefcase back. You will then automatically go back the way you came and
enter a cutscene with the Prof. Once that is done, you will be on Route 201.

Not much to do here. Since you have no Pokeballs at this point, all you
can do is battle for experience (It is recommended you get your starter
to at least level 8 or so right now). There are no trainers here, either.
However, you can get a handy potion from the guy in the grass near
Sandgem Town. Once you are finished here, head to the right to get to
   Sandgem Town

Once you exit his lab, you will get shown around town. Unfortunately,
there is not much you can do at this point, although you can buy Pokeballs

beach to Route 219, but you can't do much besides get a Antidote. You
may want to check out the Pokemon Center as well and heal up.

As soon as you enter the Route, Rowan's Assistant will show up and show you
how to catch Pokemon and give you 5 Pokeballs. Now is also a good time to
catch some Pokemon. Starly and Shinx are both great additions to your team,
so try to catch them before you move on. Bidoof and Kricketot, though...
Catch them for the Pokedex, at least.

Also, there are some trainers on the route. Nothing too major: mostly in
the 2-5 level range, so you may want to level up a little bit. You can
also get a Potion in the grass near the entrance to Jublife City.

Ah, your first big city. Jublife may be one of the towns you visit the most
later on because of the GTS (Located to the left of the Pokemon center,
past the Trainer's School), but you cannot access it until you get your
first Gym Badge. So, for now, head to the Pokemon center and heal yourself
up and go to the Pokemon Center and buy some items. Once you are ready,
   head to the trainer school.

   | that changes depending on the IV's of the |

   | one, but its Hidden Power is a different |
   | type. |
   \------------------------------------------------/

Inside, you will see your rival. Talk to him to give him the parcel and he
will give you a town map in exchange (Granted, it is sort of useless). You
can read the blackboard for some tips, and you can battle the two trainers
to the right for a TM (no. 10, Hidden Power. Sort of useless in battle, in
   truth).

   ===========================================================================

The next thing you should do if talk to the man in the street in between
the Pokemon Center and the Trainer School. He will tell you to find three
clowns and answer several questions for a prize. Here are the location of
the clowns (They are dressed in yellow and have Jesters hats):

   - In front of the Pokemart (Directly north of the Pokemon Center)
   - In front of the Jublife TV station (Directly north of town)
   - In front of the Poketech Company (Directly Northwest of town)

As far as I remember, I do not remember getting a wrong answer (I said yes
to all three and got the questions right. If anyone got anything different,
email me). Once you get a right answer, you will get a Poketech coupon.

Once you get all 3 Poketech coupons, go talk to the man to the left of the
Pokemon center and he will give you a Poketech. This device will allow you
to do several things on the touch screen that can be upgraded over time.
However, at this point, you only have the first few Apps, so it is only
   good for time right now.

Before you leave, you may want to go to Route 218 a bit early (Route 218
is west of Jublife). Inside the gatehouse on your way there, you can
pick up a old rod from the fisherman. While is pretty much only catching
Magikarp, it might be a good idea to pick a Magikarp early if you do not
have a Water Pokemon (Keep in mind that Magikarp itself is pretty much
useless. Its evolution at lv 20, Grads, is a very powerful Pokemon).

Once you have gotten some Pokeballs and potions from the Pokemart and have
seen everything you wanted in Jublife, head east to Route 203.

   |Info: Bidoof is still pretty weak, so take him |

   |------------------------------------------------|
   |Info: This may be a good time to use any of your|
   | weaker Pokemon. Bidoof and Starly are the |
   | same as ever. Budew, however, is new. It |
   | can use a move called Absorb, which Piplup|
   | is weak again. Chimchar or Starly can take|

   |Info: The only major thing is that Starly has |
   | quick attack, but otherwise it is the |

   \------------------------------------------------/

As soon as you enter the Route, you will be challenged by your Rival. By
now, your Pokemon should be in the 6-10 lv range, so go train if they are
   not.

   /-------------------------------------------------------------------------\
   |Boss: Rival |
   |-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
   |Pokemon: |
   |Starly lv 7 (Normal/Flying) |
   |Starter: lv 9 (Fire type Chimchar if you choose Turtwig, Water type |
   | Piplup if you choose Chimchar, Grass type Turtwig if you |
   | choose Piplup). |
   |-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
   |Info: Your Rival is at a fairly high level this early in the game, his |
   | Starly alone can cause problems if you choose Turtwig. The best way|
   | to take down his team at this point is to have a Shinx at around |
   | lv 6-7, your own Starly around the same level, and your starter |
   | at lv 8 or above. Shinx does not have any major electric moves |
   | at this point, but he is one of the more powerful Pokemon at this |
   | Point. Starly learns Wing Attack at lv 9, which can wipe out his |
   | Pokemon is only a few hits. Your starter should be kept in reserve |
   | and as a last option at this point. |
   \-------------------------------------------------------------------------/

Once you beat him, you will be able to continue. There are 5 trainers on
this Route, so it may be a good time to level up for the upcoming Gym. Also,
try to catch a Abra if you can at this point if you have someone that you
can trade with. It is also a good idea to catch Shinx at this point if you
have not. Once you are done on this route, continue east to the Oreburgh
   Gate..

At this point, you cannot do much in this small cave. Talk to the hiker
when your first enter to get HM 06, Rock Smash (Although you cannot use it
at this point until you get the first badge). Geodude and Zubat are both
common, both being a excellent addition to your team (Zubat's final
evolution Crobat is a very good Poison/Flying type that would serve well
as your main Poison Pokemon, and Geodude's final evolution Golem does
well in most situations, but you will need to trade to get him).

There are also some low level trainers here that you can't avoid, so make
sure you use a Pokemon that needs the EXP. Head east until you reach the
   exit to Oreburgh City.

Not much you can do at this point. Your rival is blocking the way to the
Oreburgh Gym and tells you that the gym leader is not in right now. The
Oreburgh Museum does not have much in it until you have some fossils from
The Underground. The second condominium near when you first entered has
a woman that will trade you a Abra for a Machop: a good deal if you cannot
find one yourself (Although it cannot learn any level up moves until it
evolves at lv 16, you can teach it TMs and HMs).

Also, the Pokemon Center will now have the downstairs center open, allowing
you to trade and battle people online.Once you are ready to continue, head

The only new Pokemon at this point is Onix, which is not quite a good one
at this point of the game (Catch anyway for the Pokedex if you do see one,
   though).

Here, you will need to go down to the basement and talk to the Gym Leader,
Roark. He is located at the southern part of the basement area of the mine,
next to two breakable rocks. Once you talk to him, he will return to the
gym. At this point, there is much to do inside the mine besides train
against wild Pokemon. You should be at least in the 10s range for all of
   your Pokemon.

Once you are done in the mine, return to Oreburgh and head to the Gym. Keep
in mind that he specializes in Rock and Ground type Pokemon, so water and
grass Pokemon are good at this point. Only problem is the only Grass and
Water Pokemon at this point are your starters...

straight up (They are good EXP, and you cannot fight them once you beat the
gym), or you can go up the steps on your left, over the bridge, and up the
steps on your right, and then head to the Gym Leader. Make sure you bring
several Potions before you fight him, and head to the Pokemon Center if you
   fought the other trainers.

   |-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
   |Info: Roark is similar to Brock and Roxanne from the previous games, |
   | although much harder. His signature move is Stealth Rock: a move |
   | similar to Spikes that damages your Pokemon when you switch out. |
   | Geodude is his easiest Pokemon, absorb from Turtwig and bubble |
   | from Piplup work well on him. His next Pokemon is Onix, which is |
   | sort of a tougher Geodude with a higher defense. Same strategy |
   | works well with him. His final Pokemon is Crandios: a powerful |
   | fossil Pokemon with a high attack (Headbutt is brutal at this |
   | point). The best Pokemon to use against him is a Geodude with the |
   | move Magnitude (Rock is weak against Ground, although Geodude |
   | learns it at lv 15). Its also good to note that if your starter |
   | isn't evolved, there is a good chance he will not last long against|
   | his Crandios (Especially Chimchar). If you are having a hard time, |
   | make sure you do not use any flying or electric types like Starly |
   | and Shinx and try to evolve your starter as soon as you can. |
   \-------------------------------------------------------------------------/

Once you beat Roark, you will get the Coal Badge and TM76 (Stealth Rock).
There isn't much else to do at this point you can head up to Route 207 and
catch a Machop early (They are fairly common. Personally, though, Machop's
final evolution Machamp is sort of meh at this point and not all that
useful down the road). Once you are done in Oreburgh, head back to the
Oreburgh gate (You will also see your Rival near the entrance).

   | You will need Rock Smash and a Pokemon that can use Rock Smash |

   +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+

Note that the following is optional (Skip on ahead to the Jublife section
after this one if you want to continue), but I will cover it anyway. You
can now break the rocks to the north of the Oreburgh Gate and enter the
   first half of the basement.

The basement is not all that different. You can now find wild Psyduck early
at this point (Not the best water Pokemon in the game), and you can get
some Stardust and TM 70 (Flash, although you can buy it later in the game.
Not to mention Flash is fairly useless in battle). After you get all that,
you cannot continue further until you get a bike and surf.

Now that you have the first badge, you can now enter the TV station and the
GTS (Since you do not have that many Pokemon in your Pokedex at this point,
it is sort of pointless. However, you might want to get a Crandios if you
are playing Pearl, it will help quite a bit). You can also get a new
Poketech App by talking to the President of the Poketech Company on the
first floor of the building to the northwest.

Once you are ready to continue, head up directly North foe find Rowan and
his assistant being pestered by some oddly dressed people. Its also time
for your first 2-on-2 trainer battle.

   |-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
   |Info: Even though this is a easy battle, it is noteable for being one of |
   | the few 2-on-2 event battles in the game. Rowan's Assitant will |
   | have a lv 13 starter that is the weaker type of your own (Turtwig |
   | if you have Chimchar, Chimchar if you have Piplup, and Piplup if |
   | you have Turtwig). Your partner will always choose his/her own |
   | attacks and you will technically have two targets at once. They |
   | will also have two attacks of their own, so be prepared. Zubat goes|
   | down with Electric and Psychic (Only types you really have at this |
   | point), and Wurmple goes down with Fire. Still, this is a easy |
   | battle... |

A fairly dead town for the most part. Head to the Flower Shop to get the
Sprayduck from a woman inside (Used to water berries in soft soil).

Heal up at the Pokemon center and head east to Route 205.

You won't be able to get far on the Route. Team Galactic Grunts are
standingguard on the bridge to the north, meaning you cannot continue. Head
right to the Valley Windworks instead.

Although the Windworks themselves are your main target, there are a few new
Pokemon worth noting. Buizel is a water type, although he is a bit...meh.
Shellos, however, will be very handy later on (Water/Ground, same type as
Quagsire and has resistance to electric attacks. Get him if you do not have
a Piplup). Parchirisu is a horrible electric Pokemon,so only catch him for
   the Pokedex.

Once you are ready, go talk to the Grunt to engage in battle.

   |Info: Not that big of a challenge. Fighting types work well, but Glameow |

   |-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
   |Info: Still not much of a challenge. I don't remember Silcoon having any |

   |------------------------------------------------|
   |Info: Not much new. Glameow does know Fake Out, |
   | so you might flinch on your first turn. |
   | Wurmple also know Poison Sting, so you |
   | might be poisoned. Any decent leveled |
   | Pokemon are good. |
   \------------------------------------------------/

Now that you have the key, you can go inside. Before you fight the Galactic
Commander, you will have to fight several Grunts (4 total). Before you
fight the commander herself, make sure you heal at a Pokemon Center. Head
to the backroom to start the battle.

   |Info: While it may seem like her Zubat is normal, it knows Toxic: A move |
   | that will increase in power over time as long as you are poisoned. |
   | If you do get poisoned, try to heal as soon as you knock it out. |
   | Purugly is a little bit of a tank, but will go down quickly if your|
   | starter is at its second stage. |
   \-------------------------------------------------------------------------/

Once you defeat her, they will clear out of the Windworks. Drifloon will
also start showing up outside on Fridays (There will be one you can talk
to right outside, they only appear once every week and do not appear in
the grass. Once you are done with that, continue back to Route 205.

Pretty much every Pokemon in the forest is new, several you want to catch.
However, as soon as you enter the forest, you will be forced to team up
with a trainer named Cheryl. Although you had a partner battle before, here
   is some basics:

   - When you encounter a wild Pokemon, two of them will appear at once. You
cannot throw a Pokeball until one of them faints. It may be a good idea
to catch Pokemon after you get to Eterna.

   - When you have a party member and exit the way you came in, they will wait
at the entrance and rejoin you the next time you enter.

   - You cannot surf or use rock climb while a trainer follows you.

   - After each battle, yours and the trainers Pokemon will be fully healed.
If any are knocked out, they are revived.

With that out of the way, its good to note that Chansey is a very weak
Pokemon, usually healing itself or you in battle most of the time. However,
it is at lv 15, which isn't too bad. Also, its a good idea to wait until
later to catch Pokemon since you will have to faint one before you can
throw Pokeballs and the trainer will still attack that Pokemon. Another
thing to note is Eterna forest is filled with trainers lined up to have
double battles. Even if you talk to just one, it will still be a double
   battle.

To exit Eterna Forest: from the entrance, go right, then up, and then right
again. Head down, then to the right, and then up, and then to the left and
up again. If you get lost, just remember to keep going forward on the path.
Eventually, you will hit two cut-table trees (Although you can't cut them
yet since you do not have the badge or HM yet). If you head right from
those trees, you will be out of the Forest and Cheryl will leave your
   party.

Now that she is gone, it may be a good time to catch some Pokemon. Wurmple
and its evolutions are a bit weak, so only catch them for the Pokedex.
Buneary is a decent normal type and somewhat better then Bidoof and such.
Diamond players can get a Murkrow, which now has a new evolution (Plus, it
is a flying/Dark type, which is fairly good considering the lack of dark
types in the game). Pearl players can get Misdreavus, a fairly decent ghost
type (Granted, I still think Gengar is a bit better). Once you are done in
the forest, head over to the other side of Route 205.

Head up north of the Pokemon Center to meet a young lady named Cynthia. She
will give you HM 01 (Cut), although you cannot use it quite yet. You can
also head over to the Herb Shop and buy some cheaper medicine, although it
will lower your Pokemon's friendship with you.

Next to the Pokemart is a Condominium where you can trade a Buizel for a
Chatot (A flying/normal type you will not see until much later in the game.
Not all that great for battle, though). Once you are ready, head over to
the Eterna City Gym in the lower right corner.

Eterna's Gym is sort of a odd one. Instead of trying to avoid trainers to
get to the leader, you will have to fight 3 trainers before you can fight
the leader herself. The bad? They will appear hidden one at a time and
you have to fight them in order. Here are their locations:

   - The first is hidden by a tree near the gym leader's area. To reach it:
head up to the gym leader's green platform and then turn to your right.
Go down the path that leads south on the right path and you will find the
trainer at the bottom on the right side.

   - The second trainer is located in the Southwestern path. From the first
trainer, go back up and then go left and then down the path. She will be
at the end, somewhat hidden by trees.

   - The third trainer is in the northeastern path. From the entrance of the
Gym, head on the first right path and then keep going up until you reach
the end. She will be hidden by a tree.

Once you beat all 3 trainers, the Gym Leader will appear to the very north
of the gym. Make sure you have a few healing items (Like items that can
cure Paralyze and potions) and heal up at the Poke center.

   |Roserade lv 22 (Grass/Poison) |
   |-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
   |Info: Both her Cherubi and Turtwig are fairly weak, flying Pokemon such |
   | as Starly and Murkrow can make quick work of them (As well as |
   | Chimchar). Roserade is a bit more powerful, being a final evolution|
   | and 3 levels above the others. If you have a Kadabra or Alakazam, |
   | now would be the time to use them (Psychic moves are effective |
   | against poison types). Flying types also work well, since they are |
   | somewhat resistant against grass attacks. I don't remember her too |
   | well, but I think she used a mixture of poison and paralyze |
   | attacks. |
   \-------------------------------------------------------------------------/

Once you beat her, you will get the Forest Badge and TM 86 (Grass Knot).

Now that you are done with the Gym, you can continue on your quest. If you
have not yet gone to the northern part of Eterna City, go there now to get
HM 01 (Cut) from Cynthia (The blond lady). There is also a herb shop you
can buy bitter medicine from. Once you have cut, teach it to a Pokemon and
cut down the trees near the spikey building at the north part of town (To
cut, either press A and select yes for the Pokemon that knows cut, or go
into the Pokemon menu and select it). Also note that you will need the Gym
Badge from this town before you can use cut.
