Syringe Crafting Guide

Most syringes you should be carrying are basic medicine packs and perhaps a few combat syringes in case you need them to take out an outpost or complete a particularly tough story mission. Once you upgrade your syringe kit, up to the Extended Syringe Kit which holds up to 12 syringes and can be crafted by killing the Black Panther in a Path of the Warrior quest, you will have a lot more flexibility in what you carry. The Untouchable and Touch of Death syringes in particular are pretty much in-game cheats.

Syringe Name Effect (Ingredients) How To Unlock
Endorphin Boost Heals 100% and grants 4 extra health units which do not regenerate. However, this is much better than the regular old Medicine (if you haven't upgraded it through skills). [Green Leaf x2, Blue Leaf x1] Complete "Piece of the Past"
Medicine Restores 2 units of health. Can be increased to 4 and 6 units of health restored through skill upgrades. [Green Leaf x1] Complete "Harvest of the Jungle"
Animal Repellant Hostile land animals will not attack you. Lasts 40 seconds. This is incredibly useful if you wish to kill specific animals from afar with, say, a sniper rifle. [Amber Leaf x2] Complete "Mushrooms in the Deep"
Deadly Hunter All attacks against animals are increased. Lasts 20 seconds. [Amber Leaf x2, Crimson Leaf x1] Complete "Playing the Spoiler"
Hunter's Instinct Timid animals won't flee and animals can be seen from range. Lasts 20 seconds. [Amber Leaf x1] Complete "Secure the Outpost"
Enhanced Perception You can detect enemies and explosives by scent, automatically tagging any that appear within your line of sight. Lasts 40 seconds. [Crimson Leaf x1] Complete "The Medusa's Call"
Fireproof You become immune to fire damage for the duration of the syringe's effect. Lasts 20 seconds. [Crimson Leaf x2] Complete "Secure the Outpost"
Sharpshooter You receive a boost to your accuracy when not firing along iron sights. Lasts 20 seconds. [Crimson Leaf x2, Amber Leaf x1] Complete "A Man Called Hoty"
Deep Dive You do not use up oxygen while underwater until the syringe's effect wears off. Lasts 40 seconds. [Blue Leaf x2, Green Leaf x1] Complete "Island Park Hotel"
Nature Boy Plants in the area can be seen through scent. Lasts 40 seconds. This is just about the most useless syringe I've ever heard. [Blue Leaf x1] Complete "Once More With Dignity"
Sprint Burst Both running and swimming speeds are dramatically increased. Lasts 20 seconds. [Blue Leaf x2] Complete "Saving Oliver"
Untouchable Become immune to damage for the duration of the syringe's effect. Lasts 20 seconds. [White Leaf x2, Blue Leaf x5, Green Leaf x5] Find 30 Relics.
Touch of Death Every shot you take is a one-hit kill. Lasts 20 seconds. [White Leaf x2, Amber Leaf x5, Crimson Leaf x5] Find 40 Relics.
