Data Storage Locations

There are twenty data storage items in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Here is a short description of how to reach each one of them in their appropriate file-numbered missions.

File     Location Description
R-00 (1)    This first data storage unit is found in the midst of the chase sequence after the Metal Gear Ray. After Raiden slips below a large pipe, there is a long grate that can be cut. Slide through this grate and Raiden will reach a darknened area with this data storage unit.
R-00 (2) To reach Sundowner and Jestream Sam, Raiden needs to traverse several containers over to the other side of the train. Before Raiden initiates the fight by dropping down, however, the second data storage unit should be long the right side of the train.
R-01 (1) This data storage unit is hidden inside the chandelier in the first building of the mission. Just whack it a few times and the item will be there.
R-01 (2) While exploring the main thoroughfare, Raiden will come across a church. The data storage item is in a box to the left of the doors.
R-01 (3) This data storage item can be found after the fight with Blade Wolf. Raiden can find a door that can be slashed open. Inside, on top of a corner cabinet, is the item.
R-01 (4) It's a bit tricky getting this one since it's in the area with turrets, cyborgs, IR Sensors, and an upper walkway. If Raiden can manage to get to the upper walkway, he can find a data storage item hidden in the darkness near the far end of the area.
R-02 (1) The sewer area infested with Mastiffs hides this data storage tiem on the upper catawalk. The pipes on the left side of the hall should direct Raiden directly to the box with the item.
R-02 (2) When Raiden has control of the dwarf gekko, use the left trigger to get through a shaft along the left of his starting position. The shaft hides this data storage item.
R-02 (3) Also while in the dwarf gekko, Raiden can locate several crates in the upper-right part of the map beneath a yellow walkway. Jump on top of the crates and should be able to find the data storage item.
R-03 (1) The escalators proceeding the first building have a glass coating. Jump on top of it and follow the path to the data storage item.
R-03 (2) A Slider holds this data storage item, so you'll need to take it down with a some kind of ballistic missile or aerial strike. Raiden will find the Slider while running across the rooftops and jumping down to a building with a civilian. This should prompt the Slider to fly over and expose itself.
R-03 (3) While in the underground section, Raiden can head left to a dead end with a climbable railcar and then follow the tracks to a Mastiff on a carriage. There should be some debris along the left-hand side of the area with the data storage hidden near it.
R-04 (4) This is a particularly tricky data storage item to obtain. After fighting the third battle on a long stairway, Raiden can go back down the stairs and locate a vending cart. This should give enough leverage to jump to a nearby ledge and then to another rounded ledge with the assistance of a few aerial slashes. A data storage item hides on this rounded ledge.
R-04 (1) Another platforming-heavy sequence here. After ridding the loby of the Marshal building of threats, Raiden can safely head upsatirs and go right. Jumping on the pillar will allow Raiden to reach a large TV on the wall. A hop and a skip over another TV and another pillar and Raiden will find this data storage item.
R-04 (2) In the Japanese garden, the final catwalk hides a box with the data storage item below it.
R-04 (3) During the fight with the cyborgs on the elevator (the third battle), Raiden can find this data storage item wherever the last cyborg is defeated.
R-04 (4) When Raiden finds Sundowner in the server room, he can head upstairs and go the end of the walkay on the right. A ninja run will allow Raiden to climb the pipes and reach a box with this data storage item.
R-05 (1) This data storage item is inside a green garbage can in the first area behind a carriage.
R-07 (1) There should be some containers in the upper left-hand side of the first area in the base. Moving on top of the containers, Raiden can reach a platform that leads to a roof, which has a data storage item on the end of it.
R-07 (2)  The final data storage item is on the second, furthest plane in the angar. Raiden can use one of the plane's propellors to reach it.
