_____________/ 2. Subspace Emissary

This guide is written under the assumption that you are playing on the Easy level, because there is no real reason to play on any mode above that.  I can tell you that on Hard and above, no Extra Characters will be given

Also, the drops from the E-Boxes may not be the same as the ones I got.  I have only listed mine for example purposes.  I make no guarantees that you’ll get that shiny trophy you wanted when I got it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Midair Stadium

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Midair Stadium: Mario vs. Kirby

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here you’ll see a sight that surely will give every fanboy a reason to freak out.  You see Kirby about to fight Mario.  This is when the game prompts you to choose either the pink puffball, or the plumber in red.  Choose your best character (for beginners go with Mario).

Play through the match, which is pretty easy.  After the character you didn’t choose is defeated, it’ll change to a cut scene where you will see Pit cheering into his T.V. set.  Then, in true Mario fashion, a giant ship will come flying over and drop Primids.  You’ll see Zelda, Peach, Mario, and Kirby team up to fight.  Choose the characters in the order that you’re best at.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Midair Stadium: Arena Fight

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Personally, I choose Kirby as his down-B move is especially useful in clearing the area of masses of enemies.  His up-B move also helps with this.  Watch out, as the Boom Primids (Let’s call them ‘Booms’) will usually attack when you least expect it, so the moment you see a boomerang, head straight for that Primid.

We’ll also be seing some Spaaks.  They’re cloud-like monsters who use electricity.  After you drop there health meters to half-way, they’ll turn a black stormy color, which gives them a substantial power boost, so you should hurry to defeat them after this happens.

Sword Primids will also be there, the Jedi-like counterparts of regular Primids.  They’re fairly easy and will sometimes drop beam-swords.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Midair Stadium Boss Fight: Petey Piranha

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the arena fight is over, you’ll see a cut scene of some vile fiend under the name of Ancient Minister (Who could he be?  Could he be somebody who turns good in the obvious plot-twist fashion?  Is this a spoiler? (I promise, it’s not R.O.B.)) who commands to R.O.B.’s to place some sort of time-bomb in the arena.  Once your about to leave, Petey Piranha captures Zelda and Peach, leaving you with Kirby or Mario, whoever was in your character line next.

In this fight, all you need to do is target one cage.  Once one is gone, Petey is defeated.  It’s also a smart move to focus more on dodging than just smashing the blue bloody hell out of this over-sized Daisy.

Hitting Petey will cause damage to both cages, but hitting one by itself does even more damage.  Chain attacks work well here.  This is a fairly easy boss to dispatch, and should give you no trouble.

Once he’s defeated, there’ll be a cut scene.  Peach is turned into a trophy by Wario, Mario gets sent flying off, and Kirby and Zelda fly off on a warp star.  What could happen?  Let us find out…

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Skyworld

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The opening scene here is Paulentta giving Pit his Bow and Arrow, then him flying off into Skyworld.  You then delve into the first actual platforming part of this game.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Skyworld: Area 1

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At first, you’ll drop down through a series of clouds.  You’ll see a box with an exclamation mark, destroy to get a trophy or stickers.  Once this is done, head to your left to see another E-Box.  Then head down,  you’ll find yet ANOTHER E-Box, and then you continue to a doorway.  Needless to say, enter the door.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Skyworld: Area 2

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A new cutscene, which is pretty much Pit seeing the Battleship Halberd drop Primids onto his beloved Skyworld, which he’ll have to fend off himself.  You’ll see regular Primids, Sword Primids, Boom Primids, and some Spaarks here.  After fighting a few, Primids, you move onto the next area.  You’ll be greeted with some Spaarks, and a golden E-Box (contains better and rarer trophies).  Move on from the Spaarks to meet a particularly annoying baddy, a Greap.  Focus on dodging more than attacking against these, as they deal a heavy amount of damage if hit.  After the Greap, you find a door.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Skyworld: Area 3

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pit stumbles upon the trophy of Mario, touches it, and revives him.  They agree to go fight together.  Pick whomever your best with (though Pit is good, as his side-B attack is good for clearing out mobs of baddies).

At the beginning of this area, you’ll be greeted by ‘Glunders’ monsters who roll around on edges, and if you get to close will unleash fire/thunder/ice depending on there color.  These can be very annoying, so if you every encounter them in an area with a lot of other baddies, take care of these first.  Once past the area with these, you’ll encounter some Jyk’s which are invincible, and are there just to piss you off when you’re jumping over things.  Avoid them and move on.  From there you’ll encounter an assortment of Primids.  Kill them, avoid the Jyk’s, and don’t get to close too the Glunders.  After the Primid assortment, you’ll encounter an area where certain platforms are moving up and down.  One of these platforms have a hidden door behind it.

Enter the door to see a regular E-Box and a upward scrolling stage.  Be sure not to fall or you’ll lose a life.  Continue up the clouds and you’ll be presented with another E-Box.  Once all the way up, drop back down and exit back into the actual area.  To the right of where the door is, are a few Glunders, a Spaak, a Jyk, and  assorted Primids.  You should have no problem with these.  After these are taken out, you’ll encounter a new enemy – the Roturret.  Just attack them before they use there attack (guns) and you should have no problem dispatching of these (beware, as the guns can do some damage if you are hit.  Luckily, they’re also easy to avoid).  From here, the level will be over.  Congrats, and enjoy the cutscene.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sea of Clouds

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pick Zelda for this one, as all it is is running across the side of Battleship Halberd, no fighting at all.  Transform into Shiek and use his superior speed to your advantage.

The next cutscene has Fox’s arwing crashing after an attempted attack on the Halberd.  This time, you choose a character that you’ll fight as.  Pick Zelda or Kirby, whoever you’re best with for this.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sea of Clouds: Area 1

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You’ll quickly encounter a group of Primids here.  Fight them off, as they aren’t that much of a hassle.  We’ll also see some Glunders, but in the open room that the character is in, they’re easy to avoid.  Here we’ll see, you going down.  On the first area to your right, enter to find an E-Box.  This will contain an extra life, so get it.  To your right, you’ll encounter another new baddy, named Popant.  They throw stuff at you.  Dodge it, kill it, and pick up what it drops (usually food).  After the Popant we’ll meet Feyesh, a floating fish with one giant eye (easy to kill) and a Tow Tow.  Annoying and big, they’re just oversized Ram’s with an attitude.  An annoying amount of HP leads these to be not challenging alone, but hard when they’re in a group.

All the breakable blocks after the Tow Tow lead you to the left, but if you climb all the way up, you’ll find a door.  Enter it to find two E-Boxes.  Exit back into the level after you break them.  From the left, you’ll just see some regular Primids and Popants – nothing big.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sea of Clouds: Area 2

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Early on, you’ll find a group of Spaaks and a Popant.  After disposing of these, you’ll get to an area that directs you to go down.  Continue left to find an E-Box.  Once you get it, head back to the area that directs you down.  Once you head down you’ll encounter Mites.  Annoying little cretins that attack you in mobs, they come in three colors.  Get rid of their spawn gate, and then defeat the rest.  To your left from there, you’ll enter an area where the parts of the roof are falling.  Dodge the falling rocks and the Mites, and continue on.  You’ll find an area where you can go up or down.  Go up and destroy the E-Box, then continue downward.

Once down, you’ll find a mass of Mites, along with a warp gate, and a few Glunders.  This can be tricky as there are a lot of both of these monsters.  Emphasize on defense for this battle.  From there you’ll encounter a falling rock that chases you down the road and a few Feyesh.  Just run and don’t bother with the Feyesh.  At the end of this running area, you’ll encounter a Greap.  Take it down, and then the levels over.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Jungle

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Jungle: Area 1

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We first see Diddy Kong and DK following a group of Hammer Bros. who stole there bananas.  Choose DK for this part because, well, Diddy’s just not that good.

At first, we see a couple new, yet more familiar enemies.  Koopas and Goombas.  Now then, there’s no real strategies to these guys.  Just jump on them or hit them.  Nothing tricky (though the Koopas dropping there shells is useful) about it.  After you head right for a while, you’ll come across and E-Box.  Break it.  After this, you’ll see a cannon that’s rotating, jump in when its facing the Paratroopa and ram through all the enemies.  Where you land, there will be another rotating cannon.  Shoot yourself downward to get to an E-Box with a trophy.  Head back up after you get the trophy.  Once you get back up, head to the right and blast yourself through the cannon to enter a short sequence of cannon shooting.  Be sure to time the moving cannons right or your current character will die.  At the end of this, there is a door.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Jungle: Area 2

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Head to the right to see a circle thing on a pole (C-Pole).  Hit it, and it will kill the Goomba that’s right under it.  You encounter more along the way (the first one to go straight up and down hits an E-Box) so use them to your advantage.  Many of these hit E-Boxes so be on the lookout for those especially.  One of the parts forms a multi-layered area.  You can go to the left, hit the switch, and move on, or climb the latter and destroy the blocks containing a hidden door.

This contains a rotating wheel, two E-Boxes, a goomba, and a Koopa.  Use the Koopa’s shell to destroy the E-Boxes and the Goomba.

Once exited, head to the right and hit the C-Pole that will hit the switch, causing the platform to the right to show up.  Get on and move to the right.  You’ll be stuck in an area with a new baddy.  It’s the infamous Hammer Brother, which aren’t that hard.  Dodge the hammers and attack them from behind (The C-Pole in this room also helps with them).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Jungle: Area 3

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You’ll be stuck on a moving platform with ever-spawning baddies.  You should have no trouble dispatching of them, so just take them out while you wait for the platform to go all the way up.  Be sure to dodge the Bullet Bills as these guys can sent you flying.  Enter the door at the top.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Jungle: Area 4

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Get on the launcher and head down.  There are lots of Jyk here, so be sure to dodge them.  There’s also an extra door here, so go through there, if you want some power-ups or trophies.  Once at the bottom, you will meet about four Goombas.  Kill them and then you have finished the level.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Plain

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Plain: Area 1

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Choose either Mario or Pit when the game prompts you.  Either works.   Once the level starts, you’ll be greeted by a new Primid, Borboras.  These new creatures won’t try to attack you, but instead hinder your movement.  They’ll blow air out of there strangely trumpet-like noses to push you backwards.  To defeat them, just jump over the air blast.

After you beat the first Borboras, you’ll find another soon after, as well as a few other Primids.  Go for the Borboras first, as he may blow you away once your about to finish another Primid in battle, which can get very annoying.  Continue right for a while (you’ll encounter so Feyesh and Boom Primids) and there’s yet another new Primid – the Ticken.  These were clearly inspired by the Sonic games, as they’re just supersized versions of the Cluckos from those.  These pose no real threat, as they take a while to attack and are defeated easily.  Defeat these and destroy the wall to continue.

You’ll enter a cave like area and there will be a few Fire Jyk’s, so jump over those, as well as a Popant so dodge what it throws and kill it.  Make haste though, as there is a wall that pushes you forward (and may cause you to miss an E-Box which appears near the end of the cave).  Also, at the very end, there’s a Borboras that will blow you into a Fire Jyk if you’re not careful.

Now, you find yourself having to go downward, destroying blocks as you go.  Get rid of the Primids that drop first, and then focus on moving on.  At the bottom of this segment, a Boom Primid and a regular Primid will be there, so be ready.  Move to the right once you’ve defeated them.  You’ll see an area where a Primid drops from a hole in the roof.  Go up the hole to find a secret door.

Inside the door, it’ll just be a bunch of destructible blocks, a badge sheet, a heart container, and a Golden E-Box.  Nothing tricky here.

Once back outside, continue to the right.  A Borboras will be guarding the door to the second area, and there’s no way to get behind it, so either get in front of it before it starts blowing, or attack it from above.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Plain: Arena Battle

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Starting here, there will be a floating arena.  During its first movement, you’ll see four regular Primids, two Spaaks, and one Boom Primid.  Once it stops for the first time, you’ll meet another new enemy.  Another variation on the regular Primid, it’s the Fire Primid.  These are Primids that shoot fire at you, if you couldn’t tell by the name.  It helps to jump around, and not stand still when facing Fire Primids.  After you defeat the mass of these, the platform will move again, then stop.  You’ll see some Glunders, some Boom Primids, some Fire Primids, and some Borboras.  The platform will move again, and then stop at the edge of a forest area.  Borboras, Primids, Fire Primids, and Spaaks will spawn here.

Move on into the forest and there will be a cutscene of Mario and Pit chasing the Ancient Minister.  Once this is done, the level is over.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Lake

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After a cutscene, featuring Diddy getting captured by Rayquaza and Fox rescuing him, you will take the role of Fox or Diddy, against the first boss that can actually be considered a boss in this game.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Lake Boss: Rayquaza

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Be sure to watch out for Rayquaza’s dig attack (he’ll fly up off screen, then come back up through the ground.  Once his HP gets low, he’ll repeat this process multiple times before you can hit him again.  He may also fly down into the ground.)  His beam attack is very good for launching you off the screen once your HP gets low, so be sure to dodge that, NOT shield that, as the beam will break your shield.

In his attack, Extreme Speed, he flies off the screen slowly, then comes rocketing back in the other direction.  You can shield it, but dodging usually works better for this.  While it’s not defensive in this game, he uses Tailwhip.  Stay close to him for to long and he’ll spin around.  This can do some damage, so watch out.

Also be VERY WEARY of when Rayquaza goes up into the sky and starts moving around in a circle.  That means he is about to use his Thunder attack.  Be sure to dodge that, not shield it.

Once defeated, a cutscene will be triggered, leading you into the first area of the level.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Lake: Area 1

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Lake is a potentially confusing level.  In this level you switch between an upper area and a lower area, and what you do in one can affect the other.

At the beginning of the stage, you come to realize that you can’t get past the wall.  Simply enter the door with the up-arrow on it and now there’s breakable boxes in place of the wall!  Break these and move on, and you’ll find a few goomba and Aurorous in your way.  Kill them.  Then, enter the next down-door you see (further to the right is a dead end) and move to the left first once you enter the lower area to get a Golden E-Box behind the wall that originally blocked your path.  Move to your right after that to go to an area the directs you downward.  During your fall, dodge the Paratroopas.  You’ll find Hammer Bros. and a Goomba waiting for you at the bottom.  Kill them and enter the up-door.

Once you enter the upper area, you’ll realize that it’s dark.  Attack the blocks right above you and the room will light up.  Once the room is lit up, jump on the platform to your left to see an E-Box.

Once you get the E-Box, start moving up the platforms and you’ll reach a latter.  Kill the two Hammer Bros. before you start climbing the latter, as they’ll throw hammers at you.  Once you reach the top of the latter, head to the left (to the right is a dead end) and enter the down-door.

You’ll immediately run into a Tow Tow, so just kill it before it wakes up.  Break the blocks and you’ll arrive at the door to the second area.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Lake: Area 2

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You’ll be greeted by some Green Mites and a new enemy, the Bucculus.  These things jump out of the ground and leech on your face.  Though once they get off your face, they are easy to kill.  Once there defeated, be forewarned NOT GO INTO THE RED DOOR AT THE TOP OF THE STONE AREA.  That leads to an area where you fall into a pit of fire, causing you damage.   So, before you get into the door that leads to the upper area, continue to the right.  There will be three Bucculus and at the end, an E-Box containing an extra life.

Once you get the extra life, head to the upper area and move to where you found the E-Box.  Instead you’ll be face with a horde of Goombas.  Defeat them and there will be an explosive box.  However, nothing happens on the upper map.  Head to the lower area and in the area near the Bucculus, there’s an opening in the roof.  Jump up and hit the switch.  It’s now safe to enter the red door.  Enter the red door and go to the upper area.  As soon as you enter the upper area, there’ll be a Tow Tow.  Kill it, and then a red door will appear.  Enter that one for area 3.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Lake: Area 3

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here you’ll be stuck on a raft.  There will be Goombas, Paratroopas, Hammer Bros. (these can be killed using a C-Pole), Bullet Bills and a few E-Boxes.  Along the raftway, there will be a floating door.  Enter it for a Bonus Area.  Here, use the C-Poles to destroy the blocks to get an E-Box and a Golden E-Box.

After a while, the raft ride will arrive at an end.  Here you’ll see a Koopa walking.  Get its shell.  Proceed to throw it and kill all the creatures in your way.  After the shell falls into a pit, there will be some Hammer Bros. and a Paratroopa.  Kill them and fall into the second pit to get an E-Box.  From there, enter the cannon to be put in a very random fight against Dark Bowser.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Lake Second Boss: Dark Bowser

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Refer to character match-ups.  ALWAYS use the most ideal character for the battle.

Once you finish the fight, the level will be over and there will be a cutscene.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Ruined Zoo

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Ruined Zoo: Area 1

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first section of this level features a Lonely Lucas walking through an empty town in an opening cutscene.  Suddenly, a group of Primids show up and he’s being chased by a giant statue!  In this part, you must not be hit by the statue, as you’ll probably lose a life and die if you do.

The screen moves with the Statue, so if you get caught behind a box or an obstacle, there’s little to no chance that you’ll return alive.  Lucas’ double jump is very good, so you shouldn’t have to use PK Thunder to boost him over any obstacles.  At first, you’ll just be running through a series of boxes, but then Primids show up, leading to harder jumps.

The first jumpzone that’s worth mentioning is right after the first Primid shows up.  A bunch of logs will be sticking up from the ground, and at quite a height, and the ground is in a steep slant at the same time.  Be sure to jump before you get to the bottom of the decline, or you’re sure to be hit by the statue.  After that jump, there are few more log-based areas, but they aren’t that much of a hassle.  We also meet the Buckot, a new Primid.  These don’t directly engage you, but they are the ‘air support’ of the Primids.  They drop dry ice, or something that hurts, on you from above.  This can do massive damage.  Luckily, they have low HP and don’t move very fast.

The next somewhat hard part is when there are gates.  Be sure to hit the switches quickly, or the statue will gain some ground on you.  The last switch is particularly tricky, as it’s on the roof and you wouldn’t normally expect that.  Almost right after that, there’s an area with a lake.  As soon as you reach the lake, jump onto the logs.  The statue will fall into the water, face first.  “Yay!  No more statue!” is what I first thought.  But then, it comes back right after you return to dry land.  So don’t think it’s over yet.  Just keep on moving, as there are no more obstacles, and a cutscene is soon to follow.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Ruined Zoo Boss Battle: Porky

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After a cutscene which has Ness save Lucas from the statue, a new menace is quick to appear.

With Porky, you will want to look out for his attack where he uses one of his claws to attack you multiple times when you’re moving toward him.  Also, when he’s walking fast, he can damage you if you touch him.

One of his most easily dodge-able attacks, is also one of the most dangerous.  Porky sends out explosive robots that if you touch them, can deal damage and send you flying.  You can avoid this by using your shield.

From time to time he jumps, so don’t be under him when he does that.  And REALLY don’t be under him when he’s floating around with a thin red line of electricity flowing under him.  This means he’s charging up a laser, which he fires directly under him, so don’t even get near him, as this does some damage.  His other laser attack, where he charges a ball of electricity above his head and shoots out a thin line of electricity at you is also easily avoidable.  Either jump or shield this one.

Ness and Lucas’ side-A attack and PK Fire both deal good damage.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Ruined Zoo: Area 2

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After Ness is turned into a trophy, Lucas wonders off and find the Pokemon Trainer.  They team up to fight Primids.  I would personally use PT, as Squirtle is actually pretty powerful.

You’ll immediately encounter some Primids, so be ready.  After these are defeated, you’ll find a Boom Primid, and something that looks like an Obstacle Course.  Defeat the Boom Primid and jump the spikes.  After this, some Primids and Aurorous will show up, so look out for those.

You’ll soon encounter a jump across a lake, so do that and immediately after a swarm of Aurorous will show up.  Dodge or kill them and move on.  Soon after, a new Primid will show up.  The Floow are hard to kill.  Their HP regenerates, and if they hit you with there attack you’ll gain a lot of damage.  Beat them as fast as you can!

Soon after you encounter your first Floow, there’s another Obstacle Course area.  Get on the swinging platforms and defeat the Floow that get in your way.  Try to avoid falling into the spike pit, because that’ll obviously do damage.  Soon after you clear the first swinging platform area, you’ll be stuck in a fixed area battle.  Primids, Boom Primids, and Floows will show up.  Soon after this, there will be a hole in the wall.  Enter the hole.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Ruined Zoo: Area 3

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You’ll immediately find a closed gate (open it with the switch) to an arena battle area.  New Primids named Bytans show up.  There attacks don’t do much damage, but they can create more of themselves, and in groups can be very powerful.  If you ever see one glowing, destroy it, or there will be another Bytan for you to deal with.  Once you’re allowed to move on, take the upper root to find a Golden E-Box.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Ruined Zoo: Area 4

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You’ll immediately run into some springs and a Boom Primid.  Kill the Boom and get on the springs to go to the higher level (the lower level is blocked off).  Once you get off the top level, head back to the left on the ground to find a bonus door.  There will be a Golden E-Box and a regular E-Box here.  Once you head back, enter yet another Obstacle Course.  The Floows might knock you into spikes if they hit you with there attack, so be careful.  Right after the area with the Floows, there’s an arena battle.  There’s Tickens, Fire Primids, and Boom Primids.

After you move on from here, there are springs that will lead you over a set of tall wooden poles.  Instead go down and to the left to find an E-Box.  Then head back to the springs and jump over the wooden poles to reach the end of the level.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Battlefield Fortress

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Battlefield Fortress: Area 1

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now a new character, Marth, is introduced.  At the beginning of the level there will immediately be both regular and Sword Primids.  Soon after you get past those Primids, some Armight’s and a Borboras will be waiting for you in an open chamber area.  Once past these, you’ll notice a key.  Take it and open the locked gate to your right with it.  Enter the door to find a bonus area.  There will be a Golden and regular E-Box.  When getting these, be sure to dodge the Fire Jyks.

Once out of the bonus area head left and take the bottom root.  There will be an E-Box there.  Continue to the left, expect Primids and Armights along the way.  Soon, you’ll be at the door to area 2.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Battlefield Fortress: Area 2

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Oh no!  I can’t hit the switch!”  Well, you can.  Instead of trying to hit the switch with regular attacks, use Marth’s B attack.  This will reach through the wall and hit the switch.  Once through the wall there will be yet another new Primid.  Roaders are one-wheeled motorcycles.  They’re fast and deadly, but have low HP.  Good timing and aiming is a major asset to fighting these.

After about three, you’ll find a switch on the ground.  The only reason to hit this is if you’re trying to get a lot of points, as it will only spawn about four extra Primid.  I say walk on.

After a few Spaaks and some other Primids, a new cutscene will be triggered, introducing Meta Knight.  Choose one and move onto the arena battle.

The Battlefield Fortress: Arena Battle

The first thing you’ll notice is that there’s a Primid – with a gun.  Take care of the regular and Sword Primids initially charging at you, and then take out the new Primid, the Scope Primid.  These are fairly weak, and can usually be killed in 1-2 hits.  There attack is easily dodged, so you don’t have to worry.

You’re in an arena area, and after you kill the first few Primids, more Scope Primids, Buckots, and a few regular Primids will spawn.  After this wave is killed, three more Buckots will appear.  After the three Buckots, Sword and Scope Primids will attack you.  After you kill a few (not all) of these, a Greap will appear.  Once this set of enemies is defeated, you’ll  move on.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Battlefield Fortress: Area 3

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Head to the left to enter a fixed camera battle with Sword Primids, regular Primids, and Scope Primids.  There’s only about 3 or 4 of each, so it’s not that hard.  Right after that, there will be the third new Primid in this level, the Autolance.

Autolance’s are exactly what the name implies, automated lances.  They move at a fair speed and once they start rumbling in place, get behind it.  This means that they’re about to attack you.  Directly to the left of the first Autolance there’s an E-Box.

From there, the screen will start moving towards the right on it’s own, so try and keep up.  You’ll first encounter a Primid, Scope Primid, and an Autolance.  While you don’t have to kill these, you can for points.  After the first area with a structure, there’s a little indentation on the cliff you jump onto.  The indentation contains a trophy, get it and hurry back up to the top.  There will be a Popant and a Primid right at the top, so take care of those.  Right after this we enter a fixed screen battle.  The enemies are Sword Primids, regular Primids, and a Greap.  After you finish this, you’ll immediately enter another fixed screen battle.  This time, a Scope Primid, regular Primids, and two Autolance will be your enemies.

Yet another fixed screen battle happens right after you defeat the two Autolance, and this time you’re fighting Sephiroth.

Just kidding.  Actually, you’re going up against six Feyesh, two Sword Primds, two Armights, and another two Autolance.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Battlefield Fortress: Area 4

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You’ll start by dropping down into a mine cart.  This requires good timing, and the only advice to be given is to jump out of the cart as soon as you see the spikes.  Crashing into those aren’t very fun.  A bonus door can be found right after the spikes.  Jump into the cart and after you run through two walls of boxes, jump out of the cart as there will be spikes.  You’ll be rewarded with a Golden and regular E-Box.

After you head back into the normal area, get back on the regular path and go right.  You’ll be put in another fixed camera area, containing Sword Primids, Primids, and Scope Primids.  After beating them, a regular E-Box will appear.

Move onto the mine cart and jump in.  Jump as soon as you see the yellow caution sign.  In the third cart, when you jump, you’ll have to either fly if you’re meta-knight or use up to your B-Up attack with Marth to reach the platform with the door to area 5.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Battlefield Fortress: Area 5

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now Ike is available to you.  Choose the three swordsman in the order that you’re best with them.

You’re welcoming party is two Primids, which will be running at you and not waiting idle.  After, there will be a Buckot, a Roader, and a few more Primids waiting.  Right after the statue that strangely looks a bit like Megatron, there will be a fixed camera battle.  There will be Feyesh, Sword Primids, Buckots, and a new enemy – Nagagogs. These little buggers start out small and blue and can end up giant and red.  There HP meter is giant, but they’re weak and slow.  More of a nuisance that a threat.  Once this is done, you will reach the end of the level and a cutscene, in which Luigi gets turned into a trophy by Dedede, Wario attempts to steal the trophy (but is foiled), and Dedede then steals Wario’s Zelda and Ness trophies.  Owned.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Forest

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Forest: Area 1

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ZOMG LINK.  Yes, that’s right fangirls, Link is here.  And Yoshi, but despite the fact that he’s a dinosaur and is much cooler, we get more of an emphasis on Link.  Disregarding that, Link and Yoshi team up to fight some Primids.  Pick one.

Start out by heading to the right.  Immediately, a few Primids and a Boom Primid will show up.  Soon after, the screen will lock in place and there will be Boom, Sword, and regular Primids.  After then, just head right (you’ll encounter a few Puppits and Bucculus) and soon there will be an E-Box.  Hit it for some items.  From there, head back towards the tree you just jumped over, enter the whole in it, and get in the door.

Inside, there will be a fire Jyk, an E-Box, and a Golden E-Box.  Hit them both for some items.  Upon returning to the outside, there will be some Boom Primid.  Head on from there to see two Puppits hanging between two trees.  Take these out without falling down because on the bottom two Bucculus are waiting to attack.  There’s an E-Box behind the second tree, so be sure to hit that.

From there head on to the right to have the screen lock.  Boom Primids, regular Primids, and Puppits will be your foes for this battle.  They should be easily dispatched, so once they’re defeated move on.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Forest: Area 2

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the next area you will immediately encounter two Trowlons and after that some Aurorous and regular Primids.  Jump up on the springs to see an Aurorous.  Once that’s taken care of jump on the next spring.  Though you don’t have to, you can hit an E-Box by doing this so it’s probably a good idea.  But be careful as a Trowlon will come and try to float you off the screen.

Instead of going immediately too the right off of the tree platform area, instead drop down one layer then drop off to the left.  Another E-Box will be waiting for you (as well as a Trowlon and a Ticken, so be careful).  Immediately to the right after that, the screen will lock and you’ll face some Tickens and Puppits.

From there, head to your right and hit the bomb-box to reveal an E-Box.  You’ll also encounter some Puppits and a Primid here.  Hit the next bomb-box (but be sure not to be standing on the boxes that will explode because of this, or you’ll fall into the river) to reveal a Golden E-Box.  The next bomb-box will reveal a door.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Forest: Area 3

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Immediately after entering, a Feyesh will appear.  For a while to the right, you’ll encounter a lot of these and a few Fire Primids.  After that section, a series of C-Poles can be used to destroy a congregation of Mites, so I recommend using that instead of fighting the little buggers (You may have to use it up to three times, so be ready).

Lightly hit the next C-Pole, so that it will open up the way to an E-Box, but not so it will destroy the ground.  From there, a series of Shellpods will advance on you until you arrive upon a switch.  Hit the switch to make some platforms appear.  Head up this section then go to the right to encounter some Feyesh and a Fire Primid.

Continue on to the right and the screen will lock.  Shellpods, Fire Primids, and Feyesh will be your enemies here (luckily for me, the first Shellpod dropped a hammer so this wasn’t to hard).  Head to the right and the level is over.

(Side note:  OMG SNAKE IS IN THAT BOX)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Research Facility

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Research Facility: Area 1

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You’ll start off playing as Zero Suit Samus (ZSS for short).  There’s nothing in any of the boxes, to the right or left, so just jump over/smash your way through them to get to the door.  Once you’re out in the next area, hop on the elevator and tap up on the control stick.  Head to the left (jump over the gap) and you’ll be introduced to new enemies.  The R.O.B. Sentry (ROBS) and the R.O.B. Blaster (ROBB).  Destroy the boxes to get a Golden E-Box.

Head back towards the elevator, tap up again on the control stick.  Go the right there and enter the door to trigger a cutscene.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Research Facility: Area 2

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Start off with choosing Pikachu here, because well… it’s Pikachu.  You’ll spawn while being faced with a series of ROBS and ROBB.  They should be easy to dispatch, so once you’re done with them enter the door.

Start off in this area by ignoring the windmill platforms and staying towards the bottom (there will be ROBS and ROBB).  Go all the way across and then head down the latter.  Enter the door on the bottom.

Once on the inside, you’ll be greeted with a screen locked.  There will be Roturrets and ROBS (If you went with my advice and choose Pikachu, thunder is an effective attack on Roturrets).  Head to the right to be greeted by a ROBS and a ROBB, defeat them, and then get on the launching device.  You’ll see a key and will be greeted by a ROBS and a Buckot.  Killing the enemies is optional, so don’t waste your time with killing them.  Head back towards the left and go onto the upper platform.  Unlock the gate, go up to the next level and go to the right.  Defeat the Roturret, but don’t get on the launching device.  You’ll get launched towards a bottomless pit (tl;dr: YOU’LL DIE).  Instead, just pick up the key directly too the right of the Roturret and proceed to unlock the door on the left side of the current level.  Kill the ROBB, hit the switch, and head back through the door that you used to enter this area.

Once back in the main section, head up the ladder and Wall Jump up the wall and enter the door to the right.  You’ll see the platform that moved after you hit the switch in the previous area there.  Stand on it, and it will start moving.  The only thing you’ll have to do here is dodge the Jyk’s.  Once the platform stops moving kill the two Glunders that appear.  Hit the switch that appears after this happens.  Run back to the main area on the platform that appears.

Wall jump upwards once more and head to the right to get an E-Box.  Then head to the left to get to the door to the next area.  You’ll be greeted by some Bytans, which are completely optional, and start heading upwards.  You’ll be greeted by a new enemy, the R.O.B. Launcher (ROBL).  Once more, these enemies are completely optional and you don’t have to defeat them.  Once you reach the top, go to the right to get an E-Box and then enter the door to your left.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Research Facility: Area 3

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Head to the left and begin to wall jump up the wall.  Destroy the E-Box for a heart container, and once you head back down the lower area, you’ll be greeted by a group of giant bytan.  Kill them before they can clone, and start heading to the right.

You’ll enter a minefield, which is populated by ROBL.  After heading to the right for a while, and the screen will lock.  All there will be are about six Metal Primids, so there’s nothing to worry about.  Once you’ve defeated these, just start heading to the right to reach the end of the level.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Lake Shore

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Lake Shore: Dark Zelda Battle

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Refer to character match-ups.  ALWAYS use the most ideal character for the battle.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Lake Shore: Link and Yoshi vs. Mario and Pit

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sadly, you can’t choose Link or Yoshi for this one, but there are two basic strategies for this battle.

Using Pit:  Damage using the arrow and the side-B.  Side-Smash to K.O.

Using Mario:  Combo Link and Yoshi upwards until they’re in the 70% range.  From there, side-smash to K.O. (either that or use the water-blaster).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Lake Shore:  Area 1

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Choose Link for this one.  His combination between speed and power is pretty useful here.  Starting off, you’ll be greeted by a new Primid, call Bombed.  They’ll pretty much throw their heads at you and cause damage.  These guys are already annoying, but then, you guessed it, we get Mites.  I hate them.  I hate those.  I hate them very much.  So, kill them all for me.

From there, continue heading the right and you’ll continue to see Bombeds and will eventually come across an E-Box (Tickens will spawn by here too).  Hit the E-Box, kill the Ticken, and move on.

You’ll come across a platform that will start to move on it’s own.  Needless to say, the screen will lock and you’ll get in a fight.  There will be Bombeds, and after you defeat several of those, two Spaaks and a Greap will spawn.  Kill these, and the platform will start heading downwards.  Bullet Bills will start spawning, so kill or dodge those.  Enter the door to the right of where the platform lands.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Lake Shore:  Area 2

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The screen moves on this one, so keep moving!  Look out for the Bucculus, as it’s the first enemy in this level.  After this, you’ll just have to jump over a few things, and jump over like two Jyks.  Not very much to worry about at this point.

Once the platforms start moving up and down, you’ll come across another Bucculus.  Just dodge it, because you may not have enough time to get on the next block while it’s under the Jyk if you try and kill it.

When you jump over the gap, a block will come flying off the wall to try to knock you back into the gap.  Stay low when you jump for this one.  There are two Bucculus on either side of the Jyk’s that appear.  Feel free to kill these, and jump over the launcer (if you get on at the wrong time you’ll get K.O.’d.  Insstead, just run across the falling blocks and beware of the Mites.  There will be some platform jumping for a while (a Bucculus appears along the way, so look out for that), hit the Golden E-Box on your way, and enter the hole in the mountain.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Lake Shore: Area 3

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You’ll immediately be greeted by some Shaydas.  These can be tricky, so try to dispatch of them as quickly as you can.  Head down the hole that appears once these are defeated.

Jump in the mine cart and jump out once you see the caution symbol.  Go to the upper left area to find an E-Box.  From there, just start heading to the right and take out the Feyesh on the way.  Once you reach the ledge, jump up to the right to reach a hidden ledge, and destroy some boxes to find a hidden door.

Once inside the hidden area, just head to the left and destroy the Golden and Regular E-Boxes.  Head back out towards the regular area.

Once you’re back out, head back to the ledge that you jumped off of to get to the hidden ledge.  Head to the right from there and dodge past all the burning stone columns.  Once out, get the key and take it the uppermost level and start heading down that route.  You’ll encounter a Shaydas along the way, so dispatch of that to make is spawn a hidden door.

Here, swim across the water to get a regular E-Box.  Start heading upwards, and destroy the blocks that are blocking the area towards the Golden E-Box.  Head back out and start heading towards where you would have gone if you hadn’t been distracted by the hidden door.  You’ll eventually reach a screen lock, an you’ll encounter Feyesh, Ticken, and Shaydas.  Enter the door after the screen lock to get an E-Box and Golden E-Box.  Then, enter the Golden Door to end the level.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
