While younger gamers have flocked to the brand, more mature consumers remain reluctant to jump on board. Skylanders move forward with trappable enemies, though I doubt it’ll turn stubborn heads.

Five Best Games For The New iPad's Retina Display

Real Racing 2 HD

Price: $7.49 - Download from iTunes
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Developer: Firemint
Size: 444MB

Real Racing 2 HD is one the nicest-looking racers you can find anywhere. It may not be as jam-packed or as realistic as Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport, but it's not all that far off, which is amazing considering that this is a mobile game. Steering works by tilting the iPad left or right, while tilting away gives it the gas, and pulling toward yourself hits the brakes. There's a full-fledged career mode with 120 races, and the game boasts 30 licensed cars. It was beautiful before, but the game has been updated to take advantage of the new iPad's 2048x1536 resolution with 4x anti-aliasing. If you've got the new iPad, definitely take this one for a spin.
