Tell GR: Buy, Try, Or Die? [November 2012]

November marks the final month for most developers to release their titles in the holiday season, with eyes all on Nintendo, Microsoft, and Activision. 343 Industries has a one-week advance with the much antipicated return of the Halo franchise in Halo 4 before Activision attempts to share the spoils with Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

And lest we forget, Nintendo's Wii U console will take all of the media outlets by storm when it releases November 18th. The launch lineup is plentiful and covers a wide range of genres and audiences, with Nintendo hoping to curtail some of its image as a kid-only console. There are so many launch titles, in fact, that I've had to split the two lists for brevity's sake.

If you're getting the Wii U, which launch titles will you Buy with your console? If not, are there any titles you wish to purchase, or Try perhaps? And which titles need to Die?

Talk about a month of shooters. Planetside 2 ... can you buy a free game? Either way that's all I'm getting. Try Persona since I've heard good things about it on the podcast/forums. Die for everything else. Save the hottest part of the fire for CoD and wait for Wonderbook to spontaneously combust on it's own.

Well, I'm buying Halo 4. I'll try Call of Duty: Black Ops II, because my brother bought that. If I owned a PS3, I would try PS All-Stars Battle Royale. Also, if I bought the Wii U, I would buy Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition

Buy: Persona 4: The Golden on PS Vita, Epic Mickey: The Power of Illusion on the 3DS, after i've read GR's review of it, to see if it's worth the purchase (Mickey I mean, P4 is a sure fire Buy). As for try, I really don't have that choice here in my country, it's either Buy or Die. Die: CoDBO: Declassified.

Buy : Halo 4, Hitman & Paper Mario Sticker Star.
Die : Dragon Ball Z, Little Big Planet Karting, The Sims 3 Seasons, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Some of the rest I might try, we'll see.

Oh and btw...... THE WII U CAN DIE! O_O

P4G is preordered. I might try Hitman once I've seen enough unaltered gameplay footage to convince me that Io Interactive redeemed themselves after the trainwreck that was K&L2.

Everything else on that list can die.

(i own masseffect 1 & 2 so the trilogy set is useless to me, especially because it doesnt even come with all DLC... i think that was a big mistake!)

I've never been a Halo fan. The action is just so...generic. It would be nice to see some major changes from the formula with this new game, but I'm not going to be picking it up to find out. I did go for Black Ops II. I'm not a huge CoD fan either, the only one I actually own is the first Black Ops, but from what I've seen so far, Treyarch is going out of their way to make this as unique as the can while still be able call it a CoD game. I've some high hopes for it.

As to the Wii U, I just don't care. The controller is silly, and by all accounts the machine is only on par with current gen hardware. I already own two current gen consoles that see little enough use since I bought a decent PC.

Buying Halo 4 and Paper Mario Sticker Star. I decided I'm going to wait on the WiiU for a special edition. I've got a big enough backlog right now plus the games I'm still buying that I don't think I'll have enough time right now to devote to a new console.

just picked up AC3 and will be getting H4 in a few days! Hitman looks pretty awesome too, i may be getting that. if i really had free time i'd get F1 but i'm pretty well swamped as it is...

Hitman and Call of Duty are both tries for me (eventually). I would at least try Halo 4 if I owned a 360.

I'm too damn poor to spend full price on games outside of a couple every year.
