Is it just me or does this list look overall pretty weak compared to 2012?

I don't know about weaker but there are defiantly a lot more new ip's and a lot less 2's and 3's.

Agreed. But notice most of the release dates are first half of 2013. Really appears as though the heavy hitters to be released in the second half of the year will be next-gen launch titles that won't be revealed until the Systems are. Who am I kidding, launch titles blow.

Too true. I don't think I've ever really anticipated a launch title.

I had pretty high hopes for Condemned: Criminal Origins on the 360. To this day I've never been able to finish a full playthrough. It gets boring and frustrating pretty quickly.

Actually, after a second look I'd like to retract that statement. It's your lists that are kind of weak. Once I started to think about it, there's some major PC releases that weren't mentioned at all: Fortnite, The Elder Scrolls Online, SC2: Heart of the Swarm, DOTA 2, Total War: Rome II, Company of Heroes II.

When was it mentioned that Ellie is Joel's daughter in Last of Us? I thought she was cargo to him, a request by Ellie's mother. Joal's a bad dude, if you didn't know. He's a smuggler and bandit, basically... Ellie's mother isn't that nice either. The newest video showed us some origins of that, and in interviews, its mentioned Joal isn't a nice guy, nor is Ellie's mother.

Thanks for catching that. Ellie is definitely more like a surrogate daughter to Joel. (Unless there's some twisty "he's really your actual father" development.)

I'm excited for Ni No Kuni, Beyond: Two Souls, GTA V, Last of Us, Tomb Raider, and South Park (a little), but not necessarily in that order. I would say Watch_Dogs, but I'm not expecting it next year.

Hard to anticipate a game that's already widely available in some form or another, like Minecraft. Still, I hope it gets polished up so I'm actually motivated to play it.

Like I said to Ranim, with 2mm people already playing the game (concurrently even) on Steam, it's hard to "anticipate" the game.

I'm surprised at the relative unenthusiasm for GTAV when looking at the individual lists. Most of them list it as middle of the pack or perhaps nowhere at all. Seems odd for a Rockstar game.

Also, Capcom's Remember Me sounds like an interesting concept. We'll have to see how that one turns out.

Looking forward to Remember Me and Watch Dogs big time!! With Dragon's Dogma this year and now Remember Me, and Lost Planet 3 Capcom seems to be getting it's groove back :)

A part of it is because it's one of the few sequels on the list, and it's hard to imagine how GTAV won't be a bigger, badder GTAIV. A lot about anticipation is not knowing whether something will be good or bad. We know that GTAV is going to be awesome, unless something horrible happens.

Dead Space 3 and The Last of Us are two games that I cannot wait for! However GTA V, God of War: Ascension, and Gears of War: Judgement will find their way into my game library in 2013 as well.

The only games that I'm looking forward to next year are:

    The Last of Us
Bioshock Infinite (if it ever actually gets released)
    Tomb Raider
    Ni No Kuni

...and that's really it. I might eventually pick up a used copy of God of War, but the multiplayer doesn't interest me at all, so it'll just be for the main campaign. GTAIV was a huge disappointment for me, so I'm not really looking forward to V. I really don't expect Watch Dogs or the new Star Wars game to actually come out next year, so I'm not listing them, though the little bit I've seen will keep them on my radar.

San Andreas was my favorite GTA, so hopefully they make V a worthy entry. I don't like the multiple protagonist thing.

R6 Patriots is probably my most anticipated, me and my friends had a blast with Vegas 2, hopefully this one won't suck. I don't like a lot of online games. You can have a great concept, add people, then everything goes to hell.

Gears of War. I fail to see how a gun with a chainsaw attached to it EVER gets old.

GTA V & The Last of Us are my only sure buys. I'm interested in Rayman, but not frothing for it.

    Sniff. . .sniff. . . The Last Guardian. . .
You know what, I don't think all of the games that have been announced for March will come out at that time. Too much competition, so expect several to be delayed to "polish them up".

I actually hope some of them are delayed for polish or even pushed earlier. It doesn't do them much good to be all bunched up in March.

For me, my most anticipated game overall is GTA V, apart from it, here are the rest:

    1. Injustice: Gods Among Us
    2. Bayonetta 2
    3. Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
    4. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
    5. PES 2014.

It annoys me that Ni No Kuni is coming to Xbox :(

But lots of fine substitutes on the list. And no Dead Space 3? I must admit I'm not as excited about it as I was the second.

All you *******es left out Company of Heroes 2. And luckily Blake said AvP.

But atleast I agree with like 75% of this list with BioShock, GTA 5, and AvP tickling me the most.
