Top 5 Modern RPG Franchises

RPGs have come a long way since their origins. What was once a genre composed of a wide assortment of compelling stories that required clear and focused attention to comprehend is now led by titles that carry the story on the shoulder of gameplay and graphics. This tidal shift of RPG formatting, which has included the transition of power from Japan to the West, has provided all-new experiences for gamers to enjoy. 

As a part of this, many of the series that represented the genre in the best light have fallen behind. Replacing them are new ones, or at least those that realized all-new potential in the greatest way.

With that said, in the video above we looked at which RPG franchises now lead the industry.
