Apex Legends Blue Color Bug

Apex Legends Blue Color Bug | How to fix

There is an oddly specific bug affecting those of you playing Apex Legends on Samsung monitors. The bizarre Apex Legends blue color bug is making monitor blacks turn blue after playing Apex Legends. This would make for an odd viewing experience in anyone’s book. Read on to find out if there is an Apex Legends causing monitor blacks to turn blue fix.

What is the Apex Legends Blue Color bug?

Apex Legends Blue Color Bug

It appears as though this bug affects only those of you playing Apex Legends on a Samsung monitor. In particular, modern curved 27-inch Samsung gaming monitors. Essentially, according to the game’s official support forums, after playing Apex Legends and getting shot by an enemy, upon exiting the game any black colors on your monitor will turn blue. Very strange.

According to that same thread, any updates to drivers will not get rid of the bug. Thankfully, however, there does appear to be a couple of quick fixes for the bug. Take those blues away.

There are two schools of thought when it comes to fixing the Apex Legends blue color bug. Firstly, it has been suggested that you should switch from Display Port to HDMI. Hopefully, this should stop your black colors on your monitor from turning blue after playing Apex Legends.

Another opinion is that this likely won’t change anything, however. Instead, you should be changing your monitor’s refresh rate (if playing on a Samsung monitor). According to the same support thread linked to above, changing your monitor’s refresh rate from 144Hz to 120Hz via the monitor menus should fix the blue color bug. Our advice? Try changing both just to make sure.

If neither of these fixes works for you, do try updating your driver files. Other than what has been suggested, however, all we can say is to wait for EA or Respawn to fix the issue via a patch alongside a future update.
