Rocket League Roadmap Fall 2018 – What’s Coming Soon?

The Rocket League Roadmap for Fall 2018 is here. The outline for the coming months will do little to quell murmurs over RocketID and cross-platform play, but it has been addressed, which you can see for yourself down below. Besides that, Xbox One X support, Frosty Fest 2018 and Rocket Pass 2 are all over the horizon.

Rocket League Roadmap Fall 2018 – New RocketID Cross-Platform Play Release Window

Let’s get the bad news out of the way first, shall we? “We know the wait has been frustrating,” says Psyonix in its latest update post, but the wait must still go on for RocketID and cross-platform Rocket League play. What was once August 2018, and then September 2018, has now been pushed back to Early 2019. It appears as if the Fortnite crossplay has put a spanner in the works when it comes to releasing the RocketID for every single platform.

Rocket League Roadmap Fall 2018 – Xbox One X Support

Xbox One X support is also on the way! An early December release date is scheduled in for the souped-up upgrade, with 4K support at 60fps and HDR support forming part of Rocket League’s biggest graphical update yet.

Rocket League Roadmap Fall 2018 – Frosty Fest

We can’t near the holidays without having a wintry event to mark the occasion now, can we? Mid-December sees Frosty Fest 2018 come our way as players will compete to earn “Snowflakes” (presumably 10 or so a game judging by the Candy Corn being dished out in the current Haunted Hallows event) which will then go towards purchasing items or, if you really want to get into the Christmas spirit, a Golden Gift for yourself.

Rocket League Roadmap Fall 2018 – Rocket Pass 2

Finally, in the absence of having a neat graphic to tie everything together, December will also see Rocket Pass 2 go live. What amounts to essentially a second season of Rocket League items being doled out for both free and premium users, not much else has been revealed in the way of info, though the successes of the first Rocket Pass would see Psyonix probably leaning on a “If it ain’t broke” philosophy.
