Red Dead Redemption 2 Vampire

Red Dead Redemption 2 Vampire Location – Find the Saint Denis Vampire

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now, and it’s packed full of mysterious secrets to find. There are the UFOs of Mount Shann, the Bigfoot Skeleton, and the creepy Ghost Lady of Bluewater Marsh. But perhaps the most terrifying, and the hardest to find, is the dreaded Red Dead Redemption 2 Vampire lurking in the streets of Saint Denis after dark.

What is the Saint Denis vampire? How do you find it? There’s a whole trail of clues along the way, and we’ll show you how to find every single one. Then, we’ll show you exactly where the blood-sucking varmint is located… and how to kill him!

Where to Find Vampire Clue 1

Red Dead Redemption 2 Vampire 1

To find the Red Dead Redemption 2 vampire, you’ll need to find clues written on walls around Saint Denis. These mysterious messages, unfortunately, are isolated, with no suggestion on where to find the next one, but luckily we’re here to help.

The first clue to the location of the vampire is in the area above, on the wall on the corner of the building. You’ll see white writing on the right side of the door, which reads: “I drink from the maiden and I live again in the dead, the heart of the ring of blood.” It’s clearly written by a disturbed individual, who may or may not be a vampire. Have Arthur jot down the clue by examining it. The trouble is, there is no sign where to go after this. Luckily you don’t have to go far since all the clues are in the same section of the city.

Where to Find Vampire Clue 2

Turn right and head down the road a little, and you’ll see the Saint Denis market. Here you can find the Trapper for special hunting items and one of three Fences where you can sell your stolen goods. Just before you enter the market, however, look to the right of the arch and you’ll see a little area with some railings and a metal gate. Go in here and check out the wall on the left, next to some barrels. It’s the second vampire clue, written in red. Examine it too and move on to the next clue.

Where to Find Vampire Clue 3

The third clue is located between the general store and the butcher. Cut through the store and the writing will be on the wall immediately on your right, facing the main road. By this point, the clues will be getting a bit more cryptic, although still very vampiric. This isn’t going to end well…

Where to Find Vampire Clue 4

The next two clues are a little awkward, just because they are in such small areas. Head to the area above. You’ll probably need to go around the back, through an alleyway. You’ll find a little courtyard with one large green tree in the center, and three arches with metal doors on the left. Go under these arches into the small passageway, then stop just as the passageway turns left. The writing is above a chair just on the corner there. The clues are now suggesting that the creature is looking for six victims, and there’s one more clue to find. Better be fast.

Where to Find Vampire Clue 5

The fifth and final vampire clue is, fortunately, right next to the previous clue. Head to the street, up a little, then take a left into an alleyway between a Chinese restaurant, right before the gun store. Immediately on the right as you exit the rather drab alleyway, there are some arches and a little area. The last vampire clue is on the wall at the end of this tiny area under the arches. just on the right. It may be a little difficult to see due to shadows, but you’ll catch the last bit of writing. This one says that he will “await the outpost of advancing day,” which gives you a clue about when you should face him. Which you’ll now have to do…

With all the clues collected, Arthur will draw a map in his ledger, with a crude pentagram made from the clue locations across it. It’s more than a little vague, but then that’s Rockstar for you. Fortunately, we have the exact place you need to go to meet the Nosferatu on the map above. There’s a little alleyway opposite the butcher’s shop and general store, next to a garden area opposite the church. You’ll need to return at night because you’re dealing with a vampire, remember? Go to the saloon, pay the dollar for a room, and stay until night. Then, head back to the alleyway.

The vampire may not always be there. It took us three nights to find him, in fact. Eventually, though, we walked into the alleyway on a dark and stormy night, to find a man sucking the blood from a dead body. What shocked us more was that we could talk to him. We won’t spoil the conversation, but eventually no matter what you do, the wannabe Dracula will advance on you. Make like Van Helsing and shoot the creature. Don’t worry, you don’t need garlic or a cross: regular bullets will do the trick. Preferably a shotgun.

What Do You Get For Killing the Red Dead Redemption 2 Vampire?

The rewards aren’t that plentiful for putting down the Red Dead Redemption 2 vampire. You’ll get some stringy meat and some bat wings for looting corpse of the “vampire.” However, make sure to grab the knife he was carrying, which should be on the ground nearby. This is an Ornate Dagger, which has a silver blade and a golden handle. Wonder if it’s worth some cash… then again we may keep it, just in case the mysterious gentleman comes back for revenge.
