I did not like when Matt set up a private game with me solo on one team and GL/Matt.
I held you guys off until the end when I just kept dying. _________________

Not seeing why it's getting such high scores unless they're all based almost entirely on multiplayer.
The campaign is short and repetitive and does nothing the other halos didn't do. Sure, the sprint function is nice, but i'd rather have dual-wielding back.
It's not bad, but i'd give it a B+ at best. I was hoping the campaign would at least differ slightly from Reach. It's literally the same damn thing, right down to the vehicle sections, just with some new bad guys and some unnecessary shit by a malfunctioning cortana.
Also, i know the halo series has never been one to have a large story, but surely the ending could've been padded out a bit longer?
Except, when i say longer, i mean actual good gameplay. Not spawning more of those fucking retarded dogs for the 100th fucking time so it takes me 10 unnecessary minutes just to walk across the fucking room.

There's so much pretty lighting that the addition of a flashlight seems a bit redundant. It's never really needed.
Also, if i win the lottery i'm going to make sure the UNSC Mammoth is a thing that will exist in this world. I will drive that bitch to the shops and DARE the police to fine me.
Get me on a mammoth with the SAW and the sniper rifle and nothing can oppose me. _________________

Halo desperately needed to be faster. I could never trade sprint for dual-wielding. How effective was two needlers anyway? _________________

Well I suppose I'm speaking more directly to multiplayer. That's the core of the shooter business and playing a map like Valhalla with Sprint versus how I remember it being in Halo 3 is like day and night. You can get across the map, maneuver around cover and landscaping and really fill the play space like never before.
Best Halo multiplayer since 2 (though I still think 2 is a high watermark).
Edit: I would pay so much money for Lockout DLC map. _________________

I hate that as soon as I get good enough internet to play Reach everyone moves on to Halo 4.
And really, the thing about Halo was that the whole point of it was that it was slower, more precise, and less PCHOO shooty than other shooters. Now I haven't played 4, but I played all the others, and they were the perfect speed for the type of game that they were. _________________

With what little I've played of Black Ops II, Halo 4 is still slower, but it's significantly faster than the other games in the series so at least in terms of pacing it's more competitive in the market place. _________________

Hahaha. Yeah sorry about that. I didn't really know what I was doing with match set-up. I didnt even mean to invite you, I meant to press "join session" instead.
You did hold up pretty well though. Lone gunman - it's a working theory alright. _________________

| Fun game! That was obviously my first foray into Halo 4 multiplayer, after playing just a level of the campaign. It took me a while to get my sea legs (and to unlock a good gun) but then I just started following Chris around and poaching kills. |

Dual-wielding needlers was a dick move, mainly because literally nothing could stand against you.
Hunters? Pussies.
I wouldn't want to lose the sprint either, but not being able to duel wield those forerunner pistol things is really annoying, especially at times where you've used all the ammo in all the other guns around you.

Honestly, i never really liked that about the series myself. Careful, well timed tactics just doesn't seem to go together with a 60kph+ armored suit and a rifle with 60 rounds (pre-nerf). This is probably why i prefer playing on easy - i like charging into a room like an angel of death and ruining everyones day. I imagine people who haven't read the books don't mind the combat, but having read the books and knowing that even an un-armored spartan could easily kill an elite and 4 grunts with a single mag in an MA5x makes it irritating to say the least when it takes 1/2 a clip of armor piercing rounds to kill a grunt, despite the whole 'pressured atmospheric methane suit' thing. Several spartans have survived re-entry and then a full speed crash into the ground in just the suit - there's no way in hell a grunt with a needler could single handedly kill a spartan.
Halo 4 has a decent pace on Normal i suppose. Legendary would just annoy me and easy doesn't net you any cred.
The multiplayer also tends to annoy me a little bit - a good 25% of the time the first person to start shooting the other wins, because all you do is circle each other while dumping a MA5x mag into the other guy. Maybe i'm just playing on the wrong levels and some tactic will come into it on more, like, snipey ones. Although yesterday i started going good and was netting some nice K/D by shooting people as they walk through doors. _________________

Blargh, shouldn't have read this post, stuck at work and even when I get home I have to waste time destroying a couch and packing up useless odds and ends. Anywho, when I am on later tonight feel free to join me, Dave Rabbit for those not on my list.
Tried joining Dan and Mattay but couldn't get connected. And fuck those goddamn dogs with guns, more annoying then the flood. |

^ I had that problem at times if it helps.
I also went on today and noticed it hadnt logged my completion of the first Spartan Ops chapter...but kept the completion of the second there, which was quite strange.
And those dogs ARE annoying. If you do the third chapter in Spartan Ops they literally spawn them all over the place toward the end. There's nothing in that chapter but Dogs and Watchers but at the end it's ridiculous.
But more annoying than the flood? They're not that bad haha! _________________

| Yeah Haven is great. I did really well there with a shotgun that I found. I also like that Valhalla is completely unchanged |

Yeah those are my two favorite maps so far. Also played King of the Hill on one with a big orange lift in the middle. That map wasn't too bad. _________________

I've played a little campaign so far, and I'm absolutely sure it's fantastic, but I'm all about Halo multiplayer and playing with Used and Daniel has been the highlight of my time on the 360 so far. That was incredibly fun. Can't wait til the weekend. Hoping for a big turnout. _________________ http://imageshack.us/scaled/landing/580/21kb5fp.jpg |
