Yeah, I completed Heroic on the first or second day and then multiplayer. I'm completed all the episodes of Spartan Ops (so far) on Legendary solo. EDD and MattAY helped out a lot.

So - favourite moments in the campaign people?
Mine is definitely the amazing forerunner tower reveal on Mission 2. The sheer beauty of the graphics, and imagination to create such a view. Along with the amazing music that triggers in with it. Goosebump city everytime for me:

First getting into a Mantis on Mission 4. I just fucking love the way it came out of the ground, increased badassery ten-fold.

Campaign is beautiful. Even the Spartan ops cut scenes are wonderfully done. I'm amazed at how far the graphics have come from the early days of the 360. |

SPOILERS ARE IN THIS POST!
I love Spartan Ops, but it feels like they're similar to the Forward Unto Dawn videos. Releasing one episode per week.
Speaking of Forward Unto Dawn, It was nice being able to recognize Tom Lasky in the game. In the ending, he talked to Master Chief about losing people he cared for. My memory instantly triggered Chyler's death and the message about his brother, Cadmon, being KIA. These references actually makes me want to buy the books to get a better understanding of Halo characters. I absolutely enjoyed what Alex did with the bios and summaries of the games. That helped my memory a lot.

I highly, highly recommend it. The first book alone turns the chief from a boring 2D robot human into a proper person and introduces a ton of different dynamics including an ODST/SPARTAN rivalry that helps to explain some game events.

How'd you like the extra 2 seconds on the ending for legendary? That's the shortest special ending for a harder mode ever but it was still kinda cool. |

He's somewhere between 35-45 due to slipspace/cryosleep time differences. that, combined with the time spent in his suit plus taking ridiculous levels of damage throughout his life means i'm surprised he doesn't look worse. SPARTAN-IIs are extraordinarily pale because only a few of them ever actually like to leave the suit, and also as a consequence of this they tend to have bad skin. Cryosleep reacts badly with covered skin, which is why it's almost exclusively done naked to avoid -
"Sam had once worn a bandage into the freezer and discovered the affected skin blistered and raw when he woke up.
The Spartan’s skin must have hurt like hell, he realized"
Even the spartans who don't like wearing the suit 24/7 wear it for cryosleep, just in case.
Personally, i like that ending scene for another reason. It properly shows off just how insanely huge the SPARTAN-IIs are. He looks like a giant next to the lab techs, mainly because he is. 7'2" ain't no joke, son. And he's not even the tallest or most heavily muscled of them.

Beat Forerunner on legendary to coincide with the challenge and it didnt give me the XP or the achievement. Fucking infuriating. As much fun as I've had with the game, even on legendary, this has me practically trading the game in.
