Pokemon Lets Go Bottle Caps

Pokemon Let’s Go Bottle Caps – Everything You Need to Know

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee are out now on Switch, and players around the world are getting to grips with all of its changes. Pokemon Let’s Go Bottle Caps are one such new item that players are still learning how to use. Ponder no longer about exactly what Bottle Caps in Pokemon Let’s Go are, what they do, how to use them, and where to find them. We reveal all below.

What Are Pokemon Let’s Go Bottle Caps?

Unlike in Fallout 76, the Bottle Caps in Pokemon Let’s Go don’t act as your in-game currency. Bottle Caps are actually a returning item in Let’s Go. They first appeared in Pokemon Sun and Moon, and just as in those games, Bottle Caps are used to train up your Pokemon in Hyper Training. Using them, you’ll be able to level up your Pokemon’s IVs. For example, if you own a Level 100 Pokemon, using a regular Bottle Cap will boost one of the IVs for that Pokemon of your choosing, whereas using a Gold Bottle Cap will raise each of that Pokemon’s IVs to their maximum levels.

How to Use Pokemon Let’s Go Bottle Caps

You’ll have to complete the game first before you can use any of your Bottle Caps in Pokemon Let’s Go. This means that you can only use them after beating the Elite Four and Champion. To use any Bottle Caps that you may own, you’ll need to head on over to the Daycare Center in Route 5, which is located just to the south of Cerulean City. You will see an old man called the Hyper Trainer inside. Speak to him and you can use any Bottle Caps you have on any Pokemon that’s already Level 100.

Where To Find Pokemon Let’s Go Bottle Caps

Now, you’re probably wondering where you can actually find Bottle Caps in Pokemon Let’s Go. The answer is rather simple. Head to Vermilion City and find the docks. Once there, you’ll see Mina (a returning character from Sun and Moon). Speaking to her will initiate a battle. If you successfully beat her team of Fairy Type Pokemon which are all at least Level 54, then she will give you a regular Bottle Cap. You can fight Mina once a day, so you can effectively get hold of one regular Bottle Cap a day. Unfortunately, this is currently the only known way of finding regular Bottle Caps. You can, however, find Gold Bottle Caps in the Game Center, although they are extremely rare items.

As of writing, these are the only ways we know of in which you can get hold of Bottle Caps. Of course, we’ll update this post with more information as soon as we find it.
