Smash Ultimate Assist Trophy List

Smash Ultimate Assist Trophy List – Complete List of Assist Trophies

We are in the midst of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and the latest entry of the crossover fighting series sees a huge list of fighters and stages enter into the mix, but what is the complete Smash Ultimate Assist Trophy list? Below we’ll take a look at exactly what Assist Trophies are, which ones are returning from older Smash Bros. games, and all the brand-new Assist Trophies.

What Are Smash Ultimate Assist Trophies?

Assist Trophies are items that appear in Super Smash Bros. They first appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl on the Nintendo Wii, and have returned to each game since. During a fight, they will randomly pop up as items you can pick up. They are little see-through glass trophy cases with a glowing figure inside. To activate one, all you need to do is stand over it, press “A,” and watch as your fighter lets its contents out. Be warned, however, that setting an Assist Trophy off will take time, so you will be incapable of defending yourself for a second or two.

There can be more than one Assist Trophy in battle at any time now, and many more of them can be KO’d than before, too. KO’ing an Assist Trophy in Smash Ultimate will give you a KO point. If it is close to death, the player who called it into being can KO it to stop their opponents from claiming a point.

Each Assist Trophy contains a non-playable character that will either go out and deal damage, help you by throwing healing items, or do things such as make your enemies weaker in a variety of ways. There are many new and returning Assist Trophies in Smash Ultimate, but we’ll begin with those which are returning.

All Returning Assist Trophies in Smash Ultimate

Smash Ultimate Assist Trophy List

In total, there are 59 Assist Trophies in Smash Ultimate. While a good number of them are brand-new to the game, a higher percentage of the complete list is made up of returning Assist Trophies. And yes, we’re also sad that Waluigi is still only an Assist Trophy. Also, where’s the Tingle love gone? You’ll notice that the likes of Dark Samus and Isabelle haven’t returned, either. This is because they are now both fully-fledged fighters in Smash Ultimate. This has happened before, with Little Mac. Hopefully, it will happen again in the future with our boys Waluigi, Isaac, and even Dillon from Dillon’s Rolling Western.

A number of the returning Assist Trophies have been given either visual overhauls, or will do slightly different things in Smash Ultimate, too. Nintendog, for example, is a different dog this time around.
