Ouch.
Why did Sony decide to unveil in February anyway? No one was asking for this. They weren't ready, and it's beginning to look like a joke to the gaming public. Makes me worried that this event was just a buffer to the bad that'll come their way at E3. |

Because the console is launching at the end of the year, and E3 is still four months away.
That means, in the next 4 months they can slowly build up a base while still making alterations to the console.
It's honestly quite brilliant, even if they don't do much now they're getting conversation going about it. Building hype.

Brilliant isn't the word I would use, and the reaction from most has been tepid at best. It reminded me of when Microsoft launched the 360 on an MTV special. All of my why.
really what Sony did was stall PS3 sales even further, and they didn't even announce a Vita price drop like they did in Japan. Who was bowled over by the PS4 that wasn't already planning on purchasing a PS4? Find that guy. |

| Yeah, you would know that but the general gaming audience wouldn't know that, and news like this can create a PR backlash. Sony wants to get out the gate early because MS owes their early success to releasing the 360 to market before the PS3, and Sony acknowledged that with this event. |

If that's the case then why did your very own article about Watch Dogs say "Ubisoft demos Watch Dogs live on PS4"? Just as misleading as Sony showing it off at their PS4 event.

Fair. Of course when we published that article, it was assumed to be running on a PS4 prototype. It's been updated now. |
