We must be lucky because we haven't runned into any server problems at all. Nothing all these "negative" Reviews even suggest. ;/ People today. ;/

Skidrow's latest update points that they're planning to get a crack out before the 15th, with the 18th as the latest.
Will be interesting to see if they can do it that fast. Also would be insanely funny to see EAs hot new awesome DRM beaten within a couple weeks of release, so i'm hoping they do it.

Wonder if EAs server issues will be fixed before the crack comes out or if everyone who bought the game will have to download it just to play.

Been confirmed by Maxis workers that the game doesn't send any load onto the servers - it's all local, and only the online features and game saves are sent.

Also,
Turns out sims don't actually have fixed houses or jobs. They just look for the nearest available house, go to the nearest available job and then to the nearest available house again. They all do this at once, which creates massive traffic jams. Other services like tourists, police and fire fighters work the same way.

I'm back with your latest crack news.

There's an offline mode, now. Let's you run it offline with 95% perfect gameplay, but doesn't solve the save problem.
As a bonus point, however, it lets you edit highways.

(I love the title of that one - scumbag liars)
http://www.tomshardware.com/news/SimCity-Offline-Mod-Disconnection-Timer-Debug,21528.html

Once again the community provides a better product than the people who made the actual game.
I'll keep my eye open for a crack that lets you offline save and post here if i find one.

It's great! I waited for this game so long Wink But it's quite annoying that the cities are so small, but generally - it's really good.

The super small building spaces kind of piss me off. It basically turns the entirety of your city into a downtown megalopolis, but that's not how cities really are.
