Yesterday, while cleaning up my media center, I found my copy of Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus, which I bought sometime before Christmas last year. I had been pretty excited about this game pre-release, what with it being the first "traditional", albeit shorter than usual,...

Would have loved to see what Paradox or Stardock could have done, but I choose to remain cautiously optimistic until we find out who did win.

If we get the Gearbox that made Brothers in Arms, I'll stay cautiously optimistic. However, there's truly nothing else in their history that suggests they'd be a fit for the Homeworld series.

If they try to adapt Bordelands's sense of "humor" to it it'll be an unmitigated train wreck.

Did find it kind of amusing they announced this a few days after I started my yearly run through the series. With AA forced and the resolution adjusted for a widescreen monitor they both still look pretty good.

(I say both since I never got Cataclysm... Need to rectify that...)

Well, Cataclysm was the first Homeworld game I played and I have a.. uh, feeling that i quite liked it, but... It's pretty blank memory. Uhh, but for some reason even though the only thing I can remember from it is when alien organism infected my mothership, I still have this feeling of fondness...

As for Gearbox getting their hands on Homeworld IP... they have made a few good porting jobs in the past as far as I can remember and I understand they've said they want to re-release the old games. Hell, if they put them on Steam, I'd buy them without batting an eyelash.

But them making Homeworld 3? I dunno... my biggest fear is Homeworld going multiplatform which inevitably means consolitis.
