I have and will continue to have a place in my heart for Nintendo. In fact, my first console was a Super Nintendo. The video game market has changed drastically since the early '90s and it seems like what once was platinum is more so along the lines of silver now. Nintendo has always been...

Hey Revolutionaries!

I have received a digital copy of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon (PC) and will be giving it away to one of you. This is a standalone game that doesn't require a copy of Far Cry 3 to play. However, you will need a decent rig to run it. Our review of the game is here: http://www.gamerevolution.com/review/far-cry-3-blood-dragon

To apply for the giveaway all you need to do is reply in this thread with a 1-2 sentence post stating what your favorite video game soundtrack of all-time is and why. You may choose to select a particular piece of music if you prefer.

On May 5th at 8:00PM PST I will use a random number generator to select a winner.

Good luck!

This is a pleasant surprise.

I like Atlantis -The Lost Tales- the most. Not a lot of people know that game, but the soundtrack is so impressive, they don't know what they're missing.

My favorite soundtrack of all time is Mega Man 2's soundtrack. It's catchy and simple. Dr. Wily's Castle stage is the best out of the whole soundtrack.

I remember a post on GR's main site about something being given a within two weeks? Is this it? Also, pretty sure it was Dan posting it. However, I DON'T WANT the game, because I haven't played Far Cry 3. I have no favorite sound track, but Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time I enjoy playing songs from.

Nope. This was just spontaneously done by me. We're always doing giveaways so keep checking to see what pops up!

Diablo II. Created an amazing, haunting, creepy atmosphere. I get about as strong of nostalgia as possible listening to it, which this thread inspired me to do. Listening through the Diablo 2 soundtrack as we speak, man.. do I ever miss that game. Would still play the hell out of it if hackers/botters didn't completely run it.

My favorite soundtrack isn't from a game on PC, but PS2 exclusive:
Ace Combat 5, which is a game in which you fly planes around blowing shit up, yet manages to have an awesome, moderately deep story. Part of what makes it work is the excellent soundtrack.

You ever want to make me (and probably longo) cry, play:

I, personally, prefer Zero's soundtrack to 5's. Though that's mostly because Zero has stuff like Zero in it. The Spanish guitars really drive it home for me.

Also, this is my submission.

Ok I'm about to use the random number generator on http://www.random.org/ to select a winner. The numbers are as follows:

Roll between 1-5
1. De-Ting
2. cyberjim2000
3. intoTheRain
4. madster111
5. Longo_2_guns

And the winner is...

Longo_2_guns who chose Ace Combat Zero! Next time it's Cinco De Mayo and you're in an F-22 Raptor, consider listening to the Ace Combat Zero soundtrack (i.e. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGjwXI0n5-I)!

I'll send a PM to the winner in a moment which will include the code and instructions on how to install the game.

Thanks everyone for participating!

The middle bit of that just seems perfect to be flying around in a fighter jet...

I should play an Ace Combat sometime.

I've said it before, but 4, 5 and 0 are three of the best games ever made.

Favourite video game soundtrack...Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty had the type of epic score that made you feel like you were watching an uber patriotic Michael Bay flick. Which is pretty much all of them.

Aside from that, Vampire The Masquerade : Bloodlines had some pretty great tracks with a lot of good rock/industrial acts. That game introduced me to Lacuna Coil.

I know this contest ended but thought I'd share with you all.

Bingo. You win the imaginary contest #2. The theme song for Metal Gear Solid 2 is one of not only my favorite video game songs of all-time, but also one of my favorite songs in general!

Speaking of which, this would be a great opportunity to share two pieces of art that my younger sister made for me to hang in my gaming room. Both are of the Metal Gear Solid theme song, as seen below:
