Fortnite 7.30 update patch notes (Fortnite 2.00 PS4) – Chiller Grenade

Fortnite 2.00 Update Patch Notes

A new Fortnite grenade has been added with the Fortnite 7.30 update (Fortnite 2.00). The Chiller Grenade is particularly nasty and is guaranteed to frustrate a lot of victims who are unlucky to find themselves struck by one.

The Fortnite Chiller Grenade effects include: knocking players back, causing them to slide along the ground; and causing allies, enemies, and vehicles to slip around with icy feet/wheels for seven seconds. Found in floor loot and in Vending Machines, the Chiller Grenade drops in stacks of three, with a max stack size of six. It’s Common in rarity, so expect a lot of players to be wielding this new type of ‘nade.

Fortnite 2.00 Update Patch Notes

The latest iteration of the Solid Gold Limited Time Mode has been introduced with Fortnite 7.30 update (Fortnite 2.00). If you have yet to play this game type, it’s essentially a battle to the death with Legendary weapons only. All weapon drops are Legendary and the amount of materials received from gathering has been dramatically increased.

Fortnite 7.30 update patch notes (Fortnite 2.00 PS4) – Vaulted Weapons

Fortnite 2.00 Update Patch Notes

Four different weapons have been condemned to the Vault with Fortnite 7.30 update (Fortnite 2.00). These include the Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle, the Burst Rifle, the Heavy Shotgun, and the SMG (Common, Uncommon, and Rare). This means that these weapons will no longer be appearing in-game. Don’t fret, however, as vaulted weapons usually see a return in a later patch, albeit tweaked to be better balanced with the current build of the game.

Only one weapon has escaped the Vault in the Fortnite 7.30 update (Fortnite 2.00). This is the Suppressed SMG. It’s back in-game and available in Common, Uncommon, and Rare rarities. Fans of this sneaky sub-machine gun will be happy!

60 FPS support has been implemented to more phones by the Fortnite 7.30 update (Fortnite 2.00). Devices that were previously limited to 30 FPS, which can now be boosted up to 60 FPS, include: the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (USA variant), Huawei Honor View 20, and Huawei Mate 20 X.

To activate the 60 FPS mode, users are required to enter the Settings menu and enable 60 Hz. (Ensure you do go ahead and activate this, as the feature isn’t enabled by default!)

As covered in one of our recent articles, 60 FPS in Fortnite not only guarantees a smoother experience, but also currently bestows a gameplay advantage!
