Pokemon Go Community Day February 2019 start times

Pokemon Go Community Day February 2019

The Pokemon Go Community Day February 2019 begins on February 16, 2019. Just as with the January Community Day, the Community Day in February will last only three hours. Below, you’ll find the exact start and end times for each region:

  • Africa, Europe, India, and Middle East: February 16, 10 a.m to 1 p.m GMT / 11 a.m to 2 p.m CET
  • Asia-Pacific: February 17, 12 p.m to 3 p.m JST
  • The Americas and Greenland: February 16 11 a.m to 2 p.m PST / 2 p.m to 5 p.m EST

While it doesn’t sound like a long time, there will be plenty of rewards and in-game bonuses to bag during those three hours.

Pokemon Go Community Day February 2019 featured Pokemon

As with the last Community Day (which had Totodile), there is just the one featured Pokemon available to catch during the February 2019 Community Day. This is Swinub. During those three hours, the Swinub population will rise dramatically.  Essentially, you will have three hours to catch as many Swinub as possible. This also means that you will be able to get hold of Swinub shinies more easily than before. Thanks to vastly increased appearance rates, Swinub will appear practically everywhere.

If you catch and evolve a Swinub caught on Community Day, it will learn an exclusive move. The powerful Ancient Power Mamoswine will be yours if you evolve a newly caught Swinub into a Piloswine and then a Mamoswine with a Sinnoh Stone. You will have to do this within an hour of the Community Day event ending, however.

Thankfully, there are plenty of Sinnoh Stones and more items to earn during the event.

Pokemon Go Community Day February 2019 bonuses

Pokemon Go Community Day February 2019

As stated above, you can earn some Sinnoh Stones during the latest Community Day event in Pokemon Go. These are especially useful and our guide on what to use them on might be of help here.

There are plenty of other bonuses you will receive for playing Pokemon Go during the February 2019 Community Day, however. Below, you will see the full list of items and bonuses you can get for taking part:

  • Lure Modules will last for three hours during the event
  • 3x Catch Stardust
  • Up to ten Sinnoh Stones / Earn five from Trainer Battles and five from practice with Team Leaders
  • Trainer Battles will award you with five rewards per day across Community Day weekend

As you can see from the list of bonuses above, catching rare Pokemon and earning good rewards from Trainer Battles will be easier than ever thanks to the Community Day weekend. Getting hold of a shiny Swinub and therefore a Mamoswine should be easy enough, hopefully.

Make sure you head into an area with plenty of people playing the game or head out with players you know to get the most out of the latest Community Day. There’s even more you can get on with during the event, too.

Pokemon Go Community Day February 2019 | What else is there to do?

Pokemon Go Community Day February 2019

On top of an abundance of Swinub, 3-Hour Lures, Sinnoh Stones, 3 Catch Stardust, and an Ancient Power Mamoswine, there is yet more to the Community Day on February 16, 2019. Thanks to the Lures, finding rare Pokemon other than Swinub should be a little easier than normal. Limited Time Field Research events might crop up during the event, which has happened before.

If you share your Community Day experiences on social media with the hashtag #PokemonGOCommunityDay, your photos might even make it onto the official website. This is just in time for the new and improved AR photo mode (Snapshot mode), too, so you should be able to take better photos with your Swinub than ever before.

Remember, play Pokemon Go on February 16, 2019 in order to take part in the exciting Community Day event.
