In a world dominated by violent media, Americans are no more eager to go to war than they were in the 1980s or the 1960s or the 1940s. Hasn't it always been someone else's problem? The overwhelming majority would rather go on thinking it had nothing to do with them and there...

The Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player and Folder shortcuts are making my OCD twitch. They... They have to be deleted. They're the 1st thing i do with a fresh install.

Good point. I use IE though, because I can't figure out why firefox is so bugged on this PC, it just runs incredibly poorly. It's fully updated, no viruses or spyware on the PC, but it crashes and locks up and fails on searches etc. IE works like a dream, but I normally hate it like anyone else.

Chrome > Firefox

I never liked Chrome, dont know why just didn't get used to it I guess. What makes it so much better? Maybe I'll give it another whirl.

It may take a bit but Chrome is the best browser I've used. The key to unlocking your love for it faster is to download it on all your devices. So if you've got an iPhone get the Chrome browser, same with iPad or anything else that runs "Apps." Then sign-in to Chrome with your google account. This saves your booksmarks, settings, extensions, autofill information.... etc. Chrome is fucking awesome. Best browser ever.

I gotta say it feels ridiculously fast. Could be in my head but i dont think so. Everything seems instant.

Chrome feels faster mainly because it is - it's better optimized. If you're running like 8gb of ram and a stupid fast quad core (like my desktop), firefox works excellent and has the most add-ons. However, for my cheap laptop with 2gb of ram i used to run Chrome on that.

The reason i always use firefox is mainly for the little things you miss. EG, if the browser crashes for any reason, it automatically saves your tabs AND any long-ass posts you were writing but didn't get a chance to post yet. It also works if you accidentally close a tab, you can undo last closed tab and it brings everything back up.

I'll always love firefox because on 3 separate occasions it's saved my ass from losing thousand+ word posts, while it has all the add-ons i want. Chrome works perfectly, but i just don't trust it as much as Firefox.

Chrome guys, i haven't had a chance to try Chrome recently (dead laptops), but does it do the same thing? Because it if does, i might grab it and see how it works. I need every kb i can get because i'm so far away from the router. Even if it saves 2kb/s it'd be worth it.

Now, my start menu looks more like Win 7. I really dislike using that shell as an orb. Again, thanks Sourdeez for finding that freeware.
