iGame GeForce RTX 2080 Ti KUDAN costs $3000, over double standard edition

Chinese graphics card manufacturer Colorful has announced the iGame GeForce RTX 2080 Ti KUDAN, a variation of the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics card which will cost $3000. That’s quite the price spike over the Founders Edition of the card, which currently costs $1199. The limited-edition 2080 Ti KUDAN graphics card was announced at Colorful’s own event in Hudan, China, during the Colorful Games Union (CGU) 2018.

The manufacturer will only create 1,000 of the graphics cards, which feature a striking look as well as a whole host of impressive specifications. The GPU has a steampunk-inspired design, RGB LEDs, and an LCD display. Colorful calls the display the iGame Status Monitor 2.0. The display will provide real-time graphics card information, allowing the owner to keep track of clock speeds, fan speeds, voltage, and temperature.

The $3,000 card incorporates Nvidia’s Turing GPU architecture and includes the much-touted real-time raytracing. The card comes overclocked out of the box with a boost clock of 1800MHz. In comparison, the Founders Edition only has a 1635MHz boost clock speed. For cooling, the iGame GeForce RTX 2080 Ti KUDAN features triple-slot hybrid air cooling plus a water cooler. There’s an all-in-one radiator which includes a built-in pump and twin fans for managing temperatures. The I/O includes 3 x DisplayPorts, 1 x HDMI, and a USB Type-C port. For the significant power that this card requires, the card features a triple 8 pin connector.

CGU 2018 is Colorful’s annual event and features a host of esports competitions. The event is held in the Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Center. This year saw the introduction of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds as a featured game. The PUBG tournament included a prize pool of $25,000.

Elsewhere in Nvidia news, the company’s CEO was recently forced to lower forecasts as he admitted customers were waiting for “lower price points.” Nvidia also recently released a new driver update which saw gamers gain improved performance in titles like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Final Fantasy 15, and World of Tanks 1.0.
