Wish List for Fallout 4

So I promised that list and here it is.  It's late and it's not as thorough as I'd hoped.  I also wish I had images handy to illustrate every point where helpful.  So, in no particular order - a subjective set of desired features for Fallout 4: Things to...

Xbox One launches next week. I could use a little extra cash for games and accessories, so I'm thinking of giving my Xbox 360 the ol' heave ho.

I only ever play on it when GR folks are playing. Should I keep it and let it lose value over the next few months or should I get rid of it now while GTA V and Call of Duty are still desirable games to bundle it up with.

What say you, GR community? I need your advice.

This is coming from a guy that always trade in his games and hardware. Sell your 360, you already chose GTA V on PS3 to begin with. Besides, you don't play with me anymore...

Move it to the bedroom for a netflix machine. And I'm sure you have a backlog (arcade games at the least) that you will want to play while the next gen consoles are light on software.

I'm not gonna upgrade any time soon, so I'm gonna keep my 360. I don't use it very much, but still, I'm gonna hang on to it.

Goodbye, Xbox 360. I bought you for Halo 4. I still haven't finished Halo 4. When it comes to me and Halo, the bloom is off the rose.
I thought Hitman: Absolution would keep me interested, but that game was a huge letdown.

In the end, I logged more hours on the dlc freebie Skyrim than anything else. I consider this a success, because even though I was late to the Skyrim party, it was still amazing, and better on 360 than on PS3 (fuck PC, for now) so yeah yeah yeah, totally worth the investment.
...
wait for it

*360 days later*

NOT!

[I didn't have the time to wait 360 days, but you guys understood where i was going with this, so mission complete]

Ugh should've bought GTA V on PS3. Fact.

Do not sell your Xbox to Gamestop. Sell it on Craigslist or to a friend. I don't like the idea of selling things for pennies on the dollar. I still fire up the Dreamcast every so often. You may do the same with your 360.

I've gotten rid of most of my Xbox 360 games with the exception of GTA V and the latest Call of Duty, though it's true I do have a TON of XBLA games that could use attention just to squeeze every last bit of value out of the investment I've made with this machine. 360 was really my main console this whole generation and I got started here at GR because I could review 360 games. I've got GTA on PS3 which I'm keeping, then there's gonna be tons of stuff on PS4 which I'm getting. 3DS and Wii U are still here and there's stuff on both of those systems that I haven't played or want to play.

Used has me thinking I should keep my 360 and not get an Xbox One at least for the time being. After that I could possibly drop the Wii U and go with 3DS, Vita (because I love portable gaming) and X1 and PS4.

The 360 has always been about multiplayer gaming for me and without live I hardly use the machine at all. Halo basically lead the charge on this too. I bought the thing specifically to play Halo 3 with friends while we were at school, kept playing multiplayer games and got rid of my Wii, so basically I only had an Xbox 360 for a while. Basically I just follow whatever the multiplayer games are on Xbox and replace them (basically yearly). If I still had it (because again my Live ran out) I'd be playing Halo 4, Ghosts, etc.

I might not get an Xbox One at launch either, just because that one multiplayer game isn't there. I don't really like Forza. Dead Rising 3 only barely appeals to me, though Killer Instinct does very much, but it's a free-to-play downloadable which kind of guts the "must-have Day 1" factor for that game and for the hardware itself. Plus, OK Snap is a neat feature, but you have to have Kinect plugged in for that to work. All the cool features are still in Kinect being faster, smarter, better fidelity, and even more connected to Microsoft's server. But I don't really want that shit plugged in all the time. That's so much information Microsoft will have because again, I'm never gonna bother using the Xbox without live (and my Xbox One comes with a year's worth).

Titanfall might be the one game I know I'm gonna wanna play, and that's in February, despite wavering on Xbox 360, with Xbox One I'm thinking "well you're gonna be buying one in just a few months anyway." If I keep my Xbox 360, I'll probably forego the Xbox One for the time being.

I did the math on the GameStop thing and I don't think I'd even get $100. Trading there is more convenient though, I'll try Craigslist first.

See, that's what I've been telling people when I argue the pros and cons of Xbox 360 and PS3. I started out as Xbox 360 as well throughout this generation. When I bought the PS3, I knew after a few months this console is made for SP games and that's great. I really didn't get to play much of MP yet on PS3 like I did with Xbox 360. Even when I bought RDR again for PS3, I didn't play MP much with any GR friends, but I did finish the story on PS3's version unlike Xbox 360. Truthfully. I'm not going to sell my consoles. There are games I would still like to play and backward compatibility aren't options on PS4 and Xbox One. Besides, I like keeping my old consoles just for the sake of telling everyone "Yep, I still have that."

I wont buy one right away, plus I feel a little too attached to some achievement quests I still have to finish.
