Amazon Prime Nintendo Switch Online | How to get 12 months Nintendo Switch Online for free

Twitch Prime Nintendo Online

If you are an Amazon Prime member, you’re likely already aware that the subscription service also includes free access to Twitch Prime. If you’re not an Amazon Prime subscriber, you will need to at least become a Twitch Prime member in order to gain access to up to a year of free Nintendo Switch Online.

If you are already a Twitch Prime subscriber, great! You’ve avoided the first step. If not, you’ll need to create an account. You can do this right here or via Amazon. Once you have created a Twitch Prime account, simply log into it and link it with your Nintendo account. Note that an Amazon Prime account (which includes Twitch Prime) will set you back $12.99 a month.

Once you have linked the two accounts, you will be able to claim an initial free three month trial of Nintendo Switch Online (presumably this will work with the free seven-day trial of Twitch Prime). After sixty days of owning a Twitch Prime subscription, you will then be able to claim nine more months of free Nintendo Switch Online membership. If you create a Twitch Prime account (or have a free trial) and it ends before sixty days is up, you will only have access to three months of free Nintendo Online membership.

There are a few limits to this offer: You won’t be able to sign up for the free Nintendo Online membership through Twitch Prime if you are part of a Nintendo Switch Online Family membership, and you will only be able to link one Nintendo account with one Twitch Prime account. Unfortunately, “first-time users will no longer be able to claim the Nintendo Switch Online offer after September 24th, 2019. If you claim the first offer before that time, you will be able to claim the additional 9-month membership offer after 60 days if you remain an active Twitch Prime member. [The] 9-month membership offer must be redeemed before January 22nd, 2020.”
