No, there’s isn’t a Sword Art Online Alicization episode 25 air date this week. I know, right? It sucks, especially given the cliffhanger at the very end of My Hero. Still, there’s a very good reason as to why we’re not getting Sword Art Online Alicization episode 25 now or, in fact, for another six months. Yep. Six whole months. When is the Sword Art Online Alicization episode 25 air date?
I hope you’re ready for a long wait. That’s because a recent teaser aired in Japan stating that we wouldn’t get Sword Art Online Alicization for another six months. That’s right, the air date is set at October 2019, as the anime takes a long break to help the source material get a little further ahead and, crucially, give us all time to breathe after an insane 24-episode run.

When will Sword Art Online Alicization return with new episodes?
At this point, we can only speculate. With Sword Art Online Alicization airing on Saturdays, the following days could be lined up and circled in your calendars when considering the Sword Art Online Alicization episode 25 air date:

- October 12, 2019
- October 19, 2019
- October 26, 2019
But, of course, that could be due to change thanks to the Light Novel now only being a few volumes ahead of the anime. The six month break will work wonders, but we should maybe not expect an extended two-cour 24-episode run, as we did across late 2018 and early 2019.
Episode 25 marks the start of the third cour (essentially, a large story arc), titled War of Underworld, but there could very well be another break in store in 2020 before we reach the concluding fourth cour.
