Windows 10 Review for Dummies

After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

Right now I have unlimited DSL but I'm looking into cable. Was curious what some of your data usages are and if you have trouble staying under your cap?

Right now we have Frontier. 15 over 5, unlimited at 39.99 a month. It's good enough for fast downloads and streaming but when I see people in other areas with 50 mbps or even 100 I get a little nerd envy in me.

100/10 unlimited usage. 39 euros a month. Not too shabby.

I've got 200gb and don't have too much trouble keeping under it, just save the bulk of my 'collection' downloading for the end of the month so if i do go over i don't have to put up with slow speeds for too long.
$90/mnth, can only get 900kb/100kb at my house but meh.

Well, I'm embarrassed. I pay $60/month with Comcast. From what I'm aware of, there's no data limit, but they always f*ck up my internet between 4AM to 5AM.

250 down 20 up, pay $58 a month. it was the fastest package, but when i was double checking a second ago on the Rogers site I see there is a 350d/350u package now. Oh well. I'm more than happy with what we have now, already unnecessary.

Our phone/net/cable bill is incredible. Can thank the GF for that. If it was mine I'd pay $450 a month. She literally calls every month and bitches to get our bill reduced, and always succeeds. The free shit we've got is insane.

250d/20u unlimited, 10GB Data plan unlimited call anywhere in Canada with all the bells and whistle, free HD PVR, and a great cable package dunno WTF it is for just over $200 a month.

10GB is good for smart phones in Canada, not sure but I think most American smart phone plans are unlimited? soon.jpg

Not so much anymore. Most have caps and high overage fees. My wife and I have 10GB shared which is enough but if we so much as go over 1MB we are charged 10 bucks for an extra 1GB. We pay around 175 a month for 10GB shared data, unlimited talk & text for both of us. That's with her discount for working at a place that gets a 25% AT&T discount.

I'm on ADSL, it's not ADSL2 but it's not ADSL1 either if that makes sense. It's about 8-12Mb/s and we've got a download cap of about 200GB a month I think. I think we pay somewhere between $50-60 AUD a month?

Datacap. Are you moving to Canada? In America we like our data like our sugary foods.

Unlimited. 15/5 for twenty bucks.

I originally singed up on contract and was paying $60 a month for unlimited data rated at 25 mbps, but the contract ended, the cable TV went away and now I pay $90 for unlimited data rated at 50 mbps.

Why aren't people fully jumping on the Google Fiber bandwagon. Have you done your part and endorsed this amazing tech publicly yet?

I'm jumping on the bandwagon as much as I can for a city that doesn't have it. Hopefully Portland is their next stop!

My friend has it and likes it for the most part. There have been some hiccups though.

Google Fibre is such a poor decision.
You sure you wanna let 1 company own your entire internet access?
Remember what happened in Crysis 3? 1 company gets cheap utility, gets all the market, gets all powerful, BAM instant slavery.
