Some of you may have noticed that the news feed on GR's main page misses some stuff. Well this is here to make up for it. The GR staff can post topics about whatever crops up in the gaming world and you lot can reply about it. At the moment regular posters can't make topics, this might change or it might stay the same but it's how things are right now.

I'll leave this topic open to gather opinions.

regular posters can feel free to send news topics to me and I will post them if they are relevant since you can't post them yourselves.

please refrain from sending me PMs with "Breaking News: Shaft is GAY" or other variations of such. That is old news.

I think this is a great idea. I know for a fact that other sites have alot more news to show than GR does and this will hopefully make poeple more aware aboutgaming news. Whoever came up with the idea, I salute you.

This idea is love/hate with me. Really, it's a good idea, but not all news is comment worthy. Like, most of the important news gets posted anyway, one way or another. But for the most part, hearing about how unimportant game x is coming out on schedule still isn't worth its own forum. GR should just make it's own Newsfeed on the front page, and leave it open to comments like the manifesto. That way, more than just the regular forumgoers will comment.

Also, it really throws the off balance on the forum index.

And I have some late breaking news: Shaft is still gay.

So far, all the stuff has been pretty good, and if you use the forums frequently enough, it keeps you updated. Good idea, and nice job following through with it guys. Very Happy

Yeah, I agree that the forum index is goofy feeling now. But I guess it's better to be up in the middle rather than at the bottom with Inner Party where it will never be seen.

I guess I'll get used to it.
