Uncharted 2

So this game cleaned up at E3. I really enjoyed the first one, but it was a bit short. Hopefully Uncharted 2 will be lengthier, and multiplayer is a plus.

What are your thoughts on this game? I'm certainly looking forward to its release.

I loved the gameplay footage. So goddamn cool and immersive and action packed cinematic sequences in REAL TIME.

Well, I saw some of the Single player footage from E3, and i have to say, the game looks amazing. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was by far the most beautiful game I've seen on the PS3, I suppose it's only fitting that it's sequel takes it's place as THE most gorgeous game on the PS3, and arguably, on any console.

But, since then, I got InFamous, and played the multiplayer demo for Uncharted 2 that came with it. And I have to say, it was kinda meh for me. Of course, at that time, I was playing Killzone 2, which kicks any PS3 game's ass all over the planet with it's multiplayer. So, the SP looks good, and the MP looks like the average 3rd-person-shooter+cover-system MP... Wait, do we have one of those on the PS3 yet?

Hey! Guess what? This game just got a release date! It will be out on October 13th, so those of you in college (like me) prepare to have VERY bad marks throughout the month of October!

If you have played it, tangerine, then what is it about it that makes you say "it suxxxxx"? Of course, if you haven't played it and are just saying that for no reason...

The single player time in Uncharted 2 is supposed to be about 12 to 15 hours, a bit longer than the original. Definitely one of the games to watch for on the PS3 in October.

Anyone else seen the new trailer? Looks fcking epic. One of the best looking console games ever. The facial expressions and everything look absolutely superb.

I've been thinking about picking up the first one for a while now since it has pretty great reviews anywhere you look....But what is the gameplay like? Even though I've seen a few of the reviews I'm still not really sure what it is about

I've never played Uncharted ... but seems like I'll have to give it a try. I trust the taste of fellow GR people so I think I know that I won't be disappointed. Very Happy

There's a multiplayer demo now available on PSN! I don't know if it's different from the previously released beta. But, what I do know is that once you get the real game, your stats will be erased (according to IGN).

I downloaded the multiplayer beta and it's pretty fun.
The gameplay feels pretty much the same (which is a good thing) and from the looks of the co-op campaign, the single player will be pretty awesome. The character models are pretty badass, too (russian ninjas with chain guns).

Got the demo. The animation is just amazing, there's no getting around it. It just is, I'm seriously blown away by the animation.
The scale is epic.. again. It's basically more of the same but now with a working mutliplayer. And it's a good mutliplayer that anyone can play and not some hardcore multiplayer where only the elite gamers could manage, and the cover and running / climbing fits so well within the gameplay that it's obvious to see that this game was made by Nintendo. Perfect game so far, this is the real deal.

Also, this is how the gunplay should've been in GTA IV instead of that super serious Socom Counter Strike route.

Do you have to have played through the first one to know what's going on in this game? It looks sweet, but I haven't played the first one yet.
