Yeah! But wait, if they were in England she'd be legal by a year (age of consent = 16) and if they were in Yemen she'd be legal right now (age of consent = a twisted 9) and if they were in Mexico she'd only have a year to wait (age of consent = I believe, 12). Because America's laws aren't global!

Also, all the comments on there, 'children having children' and pretending to be religious.
What complete retards. If they had read the original King James bible, they would throw up. Because back then, if a girl wasn't married by 16, there was something wrong with her.

Age of consent varies from state to state in the US from 16 to 18, and don't go knocking us because we find sex with children distasteful. FUN FACT found while looking up age of consent stuff: The age of consent in Canada is 16, except for anal intercourse, which is 18. Why Canada? Why?

I can remember getting my Hepatitis B shots in grade 7 because apparently that's when kids become sexually active. But I was too worried about catching cooties than STD's.

I work with children aged 4-12 and I am telling you kids are growing up so fast these days, they almost don't have time to BE kids! We have many 10 and 11 yr olds beginning puberty now compared to the 13/14 yr of my era. 11 and 12 year olds are having graphic conversations about sex and no longer are kids shy to MAKE OUT or TALK DIRTY its becoming the norm! What is wrong with the word? A couple years ago I found a 4 yr old and an 8 yr old kissing each other WITH TONGUE and I was bewildered. Now I'm not so shocked anymore!

| when i was in the first grade this boy and girl were underneath the table kissing eachother and then she unzipped her pants but then nothing happened after that.. from what i remember. weird though. kind've gross. anyways. i wish i would've gotten more, eh, "nookie" when i was younger. not so much when i was 11 and 12 but when i was 15 and 16... hell yeah. probably never happened cause i was as much of a creep then as i am now.. and cause i used the word "nookie". but yeah. teenagers are hot. i don't care who the hell you are. that girl in bulgaria though? she's still a little kid. that dude knew better. but eh.. the whole getting old and saggy thing? take a look at peter fonda these days. |

You're calling bullshit on a magazine that reported the facts, buddy. Do some research before your idea of age appearance comes into play.
Also, being American doesn't make me religious but 11 is too young to have a kid. Just think about what you were doing at age 11, were you f****** a tube sock or making forts?
Sure, the King James Bible says that if a girl isn't married by 16 something is wrong with her, but that was back in the day when the human race would only live to be about 45 anyway, so by 16 a third of your life has already passed you by.

I didn't know that 11 year olds were even developed enough to have kids, let alone actually having sex. But I guess once puberty starts they can have, so it does make sense.

I know two women; one who is 28 and looks 14 and another who is 29 and looks 16. I also know a 17 year old girl who has had a rough life and looks 30. Appearances can be deceiving but facts are facts.
And WTF Sam! In Yemen the age of consent is 9??? Is it even possible for a girl to have an orgasim at that age? Ugh, that's some sick s***.
Peronsally, I don't think kids should have sex until they're at least 16. But if they're mature enough then I guess 14... But how many mature 14 yr olds does anyone know?

I can't (and refuse to) speak for Madster but I wasn't talking about the morality about this. I wasn't even concerning myself with the logic behind sex related laws. I only wanted to point out that keepit's post implied that Bulgaria was subject to the same laws as America.
As for the morals around this, well I've already posted detailed posts about my opinions and I can't be bothered to do it again except to say that 11 is way too young for anyone to be having sex and a full adult having sex with a 16 year old (as is legal here and in other places) is very weird.
Wes, I didn't check that fact before posting but I'm fairly sure it's accurate. If not then the real age is freakishly young. It's sick and twisted and ties fairly well with their views on marriage.
