Now I hear they have Wonder Woman in the new Superman film as well? In what capacity remains to be seen. It could be a small appearance but still, a little alarming.

Gal Gadot is only getting paid 300k for her part in the film, so I expect it to just be a small indroductory role with limited screen time.

Still this one takes the cake.

Here's a little 'first look' featurette on Gotham.

We've all seen the image of the new Batsuit, but as you'll notice, it's a black and white image. But Kevin Smith, who got a look at it a few months ago, says "If you want to see what this fucking suit looks like, you just go to Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns, go to the third book, Hunt the Dark Knight…it’s the exact fucking outfit he’s wearing. That’s why I hugged that guy all those months ago."

I wasn't too jazzed when I first heard Quicksilver would be in X-Men: Days of Future Past. I thought Bryan Singer was only trying to slide his version of the character onscreen before Joss Weadon could, who'd made an announcement before Singer that Quicksilver would be in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. But you know what? I was wrong and the Quicksilver scenes were among the best in Days of Future Past. And now according to screenwriter Simon Kinberg, the character will return in X-Men: Apocalypse. That's fine by me.

According to her Twitter, actress Eden Sher (The Middle) visited Marvel's offices for a 15 minute meeting that turned into three hours. No word on if they're eyeing her for a role or not, but apparently they sent her home with stacks of comics, specifically Ms. Marvel.

With Drew Goddard taking on directorial duties for The Sinister Six, he can no longer honor his showrunner tasks for the Daredevil Netflix series. Spartacus showrunner Steven S. DeKnight has been selected to take over day to day duties on Daredevil. Goddard completed two scripts for the show before his departure and he will remain on as an executive producer.

In news that I find shocking and a little saddening, Edgar Wright has left Ant-Man. According to an official release from Marvel: 'Marvel and Edgar Wright jointly announced today that the studio and director have parted ways on Ant-Man due to differences in their vision of the film. The decision to move on is amicable and does not impact the release date on July 17, 2015. A new director will be announced shortly.'

That's the official report. Unofficially, 'inside sources' say it may have had to do with interference from higher ups at Marvel/Disney. They claim that Marvel brought in new writers to try and change the tone and "morality" of Ant-Man while also incorporating more franchise characters.

I'll go see an Ant-Man film regardless of who directs it, but I was real excited to see Wright direct a Marvel film. I'm sure Marvel will grab an established director ASAP, but the version of the film already in production was Wright's vision. Will the new director keep in line with what's already in motion or start taking an ax to it to rebuild in their image? I'll keep you guys updated as I find out.

I leave you guys with the Honest trailer for the original X-Men trilogy and also a live action reenactment of the opening credits of Batman: The Animated Series.

I didn't need to Kevin Smith to tell us that. I mean, it's obvious.

I wonder if it will be that light grey though. Every modern Batman movie has had a dark black suit.

I think the dark black suit is exactly what Snyder is trying to avoid. The blue and gray is something new we haven't seen on screen yet. Discounting Adam West that is.

Given the fact that he made Superman as dark and grainy as possible, it would be pretty damn funny for him to make Batman the lighter colored one.

I would be all for a grey suit though.

Also, the Ant-Man news makes me... worrisome. I mean, it's fucking Ant-Man. They need to make this his story, not "Hey it's a guy who Tony Stark and Bruce Banner know! He's so silly! He's also in this universe but won't come up much."

I'm very interested to see the new Batman costume. Will it be black and grey, or will it be blue and grey?

Since the bat symbol looks like a solid black with no yellow outside symbol, I'm predicting the costume will be black/grey, but I could be wrong.

I think the suit will depend on the general cinematography. Batman could also try on multiple suits to counteract Superman... like a heavy-armor batsuit that comes in the lighter gray while he's wearing a black suit for investigative shit in the first half of the movie.

Think about the action figures, guys! Think about all the toys they'll sell!

And one that is just a cape and cowl and a banana hammock for the bedroom.

The role of Matt Murdock in the Netflix Daredevil series had been won by British (of course) actor Charlie Cox, who you may know from Boardwalk Empire and probably not much else.

John Wesley Shipp played The Flash in the one season 1990 TV show, so I thought it was a cool nod to that when he was hired to be in the new upcoming Flash show. It's now been revealed that Shipp will play Henry Allen, Barry's father.

Here's a trailer for Kingsman: The Secret Service based on Mark Millar and David Gibbon's The Secret Service comics.

Here's the first teaser trailer for Big Hero 6, the first Disney/Marvel animated teamup.

With Edgar Wright's departure from Ant-Man, Marvel is still adamant on a release date of July 17, 2015 and finding a new director is top priority. Sources say that they have a top three in mind: Rawson Marshall Thurber (We're the MIllers, Dodgeball), Adam McKay (Anchorman and Anchorman 2), and Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, 30 Minutes or Less, Gangster Squad). This isn't an official list, it could be one of these guys, or none of them, but all three of have directed things I like. We can still hold out hope that Edgar Wright and Marvel will reach an agreement and he'll come back to the project. At least as a producer or something.

Joss Whedon shows solidarity on the Ant-Man issue in his own way.

Recently Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige confirmed that Thanos will appear in Guardians of the Galaxy and that they had an actor chosen, but were not yet willing to reveal who. Well, it seems now they are ready. The role of the Mad Titan will be played by Josh Brolin. Whether Brolin will appear as Thanos in Guardians as a full on role, or a just a glimpse and voice is still unknown. After Guardians, it's expected Brolin will be back for the third Avengers film. I think this is great casting. I like Brolin and I think he has the voice, and the chin, for the job.

I'll leave you with the announce trailer for Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham and Professor X fires Magneto.

Here's a video showing off more of Batman's Batmobile in Batman: Arkham Knight. I don't know what battle mode is. It could mean just the settings for the Batmobile, but it could also mean multiplayer battles with vehicles (which I doubt) However, the big news is the game is delayed to 2015.

^ I don't think it'll involve multiplayer. Rocksteady said that Batman: Arkham Knight wouldn't feature any multiplayer because they wanted to focus on the best possible single player experience, similar to the previous Arkham games (excluding Arkham Origins).

I have a feeling this 'Battle Mode' will probably involve being able to use all of the Batmobile's offensive weaponry in exchange of a loss of movement. Maybe the Batmobile will be able to strafe while in the Battle Mode? Perhaps they're going to include boss battles in Batman: Arkham Knight that will have Batman in the Batmobile?

Haha, ok Lien, I'll tell them.

Marvel Studios has appointed Scott Derrickson (Sinister, The Exorcism of Emily Rose) to direct the upcoming Doctor Strange movie.

I haven't seen Sinister and can't remember if I've seen Emily Rose. Are those any good? Doctor Strange will likely be one of the two summer 2016 Marvel films or the 2017 one. I expect more info by Comic-Con.

Derrickson tweeted out this pic with the caption "My next movie will be STRANGE".

Doctor Strange should be great. Hopefully it's not corny and full of comic relief normies like the Thor movies.

Really waiting for them to confirm who will play Strange. I would like a middle aged actor.
