Personally i want Alexander Siddig (the actor with the longest name ever) to play him. He was incredible in Syriana and he did confess he's a big marvel fan. Or heck, even Godfrey Gao cause he could pull his look with the right cape. He could rock the doctor part of the origin story too. But then i think the safe money would be Pedro Pascal or even random action film Oded Fehr cause... they look more like white people.

Siddig El Tahir El Fadil El Siddig Mohammed Abderrahman Mohammed Ahmed Mohammaed Abdel Karim El Mahdi is his full name. One of my favorites from Deep Space Nine. He went by Siddig El Fadil for three seasons, before switching his stage name to Alexander Siddig.

This came to mind earlier today and then I put it on FB. Figurde I'd share it here too.

"The fruits of loving comics and having a rudimentary knowledge of the body due to my bachelors.

Interesting fact: Poop is brown due to the presence of bilirubin from the breakdown of red blood cells.

My hypothesis: Due to his healing factor, Wolverine's RBCs wouldnt breakdown. Therefore, he would have yellowish/gray baby poops."

While there's no official word on this from Marvel/ABC, Hayley Atwell says Dominic Cooper will reprise his role of Howard Stark for the Agent Carter show. If this is true, it's not known if it will be as a regular or just guest appearances. The show is set to premiere in January 2015.

Constantine will premiere Friday October 24 at 9pm Central.

Here's some concept art for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that gives a better look at how Splinter and Shredder will likely appear. Splinter looks almost exactly as he did in the 80s cartoon. Shedder looks badass and I bet it never has to look for a can opener.

Here's a good look at concept art that was used for X-Men: Days of Future Past, including one mutant that didn't make the cut...

Last week, I reported that Marvel was eyeing either Rawson Marshall Thurber, Ruben Fleischer, or Adam McKay to take over directing duties for Ant-Man after Edgar Wright's departure. Well, all three of those guys passed on the project. However, Peyton Reed has been selected to be the new director of Ant-Man. Reed has directed such films as Yes Man, The Break-Up and Down With Love. He's also directed tv episodes of New Girl, Upright Citizens Brigade, and Mr. Show. Adam McKay (Anchorman) will be onboard to co-write the script.

Also in Ant-Man news is an updated synopsis for the film:
Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

We now know that Josh Brolin will be Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Whether as an onscreen actor or voice of a CGI creation is still unknown, but we may have an idea of how extensive his role in Guardians will be. According to the sources for Vulture, Thanos will appear throughout Guardians in the form of holograms communicating with various characters, similar to how Emperor Palpatine appeared in The Empire Strikes Back. They also claim that the character will appear physically in one major scene alongside Ronan the Accuser and Nebula. Some rumors said that a battle sequence in the movie would show Thanos on his flying rocket throne but there does not appear to be any evidence supporting that at this time, although it would look damn cool. In any case, I expect Thanos to remain mainly as a background player until the third Avengers film.

Here's the best look yet of Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser in Guardians.

Mark Ruffalo said last month that he's working with Andy Serkis to perfect his Hulk mo-cap for The Avengers: Age of Ultron. In a recent interview, he elaborated a bit on his role in the upcoming film: "My role's even bigger than last time, and it's more complex and it has more layers and a bit more arc."
Wonder if it has anything to do with the previously released concept art for the film.

I'll leave you with Patton Oswalt defending General Zod, and functional Wolverine claws!

I would have liked to see Edgar Wright's Ant-Man. I have a feeling it would have put a different spin on the Marvel films we haven't seen yet.

Not to mention the fact all of his previous films have been pretty damn awesome.

Not sure if Paradox mentioned this in a previous post, but the rumor seems to be that Edgar Wright dropped out due to a disagreement with Marvel over forcing references, characters, and events from the other Marvel Movie Universe projects? Like they were trying to get him to fit Ant Man into their past and future movies and he was unwilling?

That's dumb. I love Edgar Wright but he must have known that was their plan when he first came aboard.

A tv show is in development based on the Brian Michael Bendis comic Powers. The comic (and presumably show) follows the cops tasked with keeping the peace and picking up the pieces in a world filled with superheroes. Where will this show air? It will be an exclusive to Playstation Plus. Every member of the Playstation Network will get the first episode, but only Plus subscribers will get the whole series. Powers will debut in December for a 10 episode run.

A new trailer for NBC's Constantine series is out and it looks like they'll waste no time dipping into the DC Comics universe. At about the 47-second mark, you'll see the Helmet of Nabu worn by Doctor Fate make an appearance. Whether or not Fate actually shows up remains to be seen, but I like the tease.

In what I think is excellent casting, Vincent D'Onofrio will join the upcoming Daredevil Netflix series as Wilson Fisk, The Kingpin

I usually don't report on rumor, but this one just popped up overnight and almost every site seems to be running with it. The website Hitfix says they can confirm that Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, Stargate: Atlantis) will make an appearance as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. According to the source, Zack Snyder has a character design already in place and Aquaman will appear to take issue with what the World Engine did to the Indian Ocean in Man of Steel. No word on how Hitfix is 'confirming' this news and nothing has been said one way or the other by Warner Bros, Snyder or Momoa. I'll let you guys know if this ends up being true or not.

Continuing on with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, here's a 15-foot prop statue being used for the film, perhaps as a way for the citizens of Earth to say thanks for saving our planet (even though you took out half of Metropolis to do it).

Jeff Sneider of The Wrap tweeted the following screenshot of a casting agency's grid for open roles in the Justice League film. Granted, casting calls are not the be all and end all for a movie's plot or final structure, but take a look at the names on it.

I always liked J'onn so I hope he does indeed appear in Justice League, and Darkseid is definitely a villain that be worthy of several heroes teaming up against.

If I'm going to have one rumor in this update, I might as well have another. According to Latino Review, which actually has been consistently solid as of late, they claim to know the events of the opening twenty minutes of The Avengers: Age of Ultron. It's nothing too major, but just in case it is true, you can highlight to read if you want:

The movie opens following Captain America: The Winter Soldier's stinger sequence featuring Baron von Strucker, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.
Von Strucker, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver have a massive battle versus The Avengers.
Von Strucker has a Chitauri ship and weapons.
The Avengers win and have a party at Avengers Tower where everyone tries to pick up Mjolnir, including Rhodey.
Captain America is able to move the hammer just a little bit.
Jane Foster and Thor are no longer together and she is dating Chris O'Dowd's character from Thor: The Dark World.

I'm not surprised about Thor and Jane. After Dark World's original director, Patty Jenkins, left the film citing creative differences, Natalie Portman wanted to leave too, but Marvel invoked her contract to make her do the film. This could be a way to write her out of the MCU, assuming she even appears in the film. The same source also says it looks like Bruce Banner and Black Widow may be developing a thing for each other, but he's afraid to pursue it for fear of Hulking out on her (in her?).

Don't have my usual funny or cool videos to end this with this week, so I'll just conclude with a couple of funny images.

Here's what I have for this week folks.

Another week, another bit of casting news for the Netflix Daredevil series. Rosario Dawson is joining the cast in an unrevealed, but "pivotal" role. What was revealed is that Dawson will play a “dedicated young woman whose quest to heal the wounds of Hell’s Kitchen brings Matt Murdock unexpectedly crashing into her life, while her own journey forever alters the course of his battle against the injustices of this broken city.”

Here's the first real look at Shredder in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Looks cool, but how does he move in that thing?

Jason Momoa was on Jimmy Kimmel a few days ago to promote his new movie, and Kimmel couldn't help but ask about those Aquaman rumors. They only discuss it for a few moments, and while Momoa dances around the questioning, he still doesn't confirm or deny.

Word has come out from the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice filming about Jesse Eisenberg and his portrayal of Lex Luthor. Eisenberg's Luthor has a lot of hair, loose and wavy and dirty blonde and has a lot spastic mannerisms, like someone who pounds energy drinks all day. LexCorp is presented as one of those Google/Facebook-esque type 'fun' office buildings with a basketball court and the such.

Before, I showed concept art for X-Men: Days of Future Past of Jubilee, who never made it past the concept page and into the film. There was another character who didn't make the cut and was originally going to be used for the prison breakout scene before they went the Quicksilver route.

Continuing on the decade of time progression from the previous film, X-Men: Apocalypse will take place in 1983.

With Peyton Reed stepping in to fulfill directing duties for Ant-Man, many are wondering how that would impact with Edgar Wright had envisioned for the film. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige answered some questions regarding that in a recent interview. Feige says that the film will still be very much based on the draft that Edgar Wright had written up until he left. Feige also says that Adam McKay (Anchorman) will be stepping in to rework parts of, but not the entire script. I hope they leave in the part where Ant-Man beats up bad guys to the beat of a Queen song. Ant-Man starts filming this August and is still on track to release July 17, 2015.

Feige also says that it's important to explore every nook and cranny of the Marvel universe, and as such is excited to explore the supernatural side with Doctor Strange. "So we’re about to hire a writer to redo a draft, and we think we’ll be casting probably in the next month or two, and announcing an actor, and then we get into production in the spring of next year." Since that interview, it's been revealed that the hired writer is Jon Spaihts (Prometheus). Doctor Strange will likely be one of the summer 2016 films Marvel already has a placeholder date for.

I had already reported that Patrick Wilson (Watchmen, Insidious) and Corey Stoll (House of Cards, The Bourne Legacy) were joining Ant-Man. It's now revealed that Stoll is playing Ant-Man villain Darren Cross and Wilson is playing his cousin, William Cross, who may or may not become Crossfire."

Something I noticed in the Guardians of the Galaxy trailers was what looked like a big floating space head. A recently released image gives a better look at it and I was wondering if it really is just a random giant space head or if they actually slipped Ego the Living Planet into this movie.

The new international trailer for Guardians has a more serious tone to it than the others and more Rocket Raccoon scenes.

A few small tidbits on The Avengers: Age of Ultron - Black Widow's suit will be 'Tron inspired' with blue lights and electricity around the suit and when she punches people they get shocked with her 'Widow's sting'. Hulk will have 'extendable pants' that expand and shrink with his Banner/Hulk transformations. The pants will be dark purple and have the Avengers 'A' logo on them. Ultron will have a fully articulated face (mo-capped by James Spader) and his body will have a "red firelight underneath, giving him a kind of 'Balrog' effect from LOTR." Ultron will have a drone army similar to himself, minus the red glow effect. And similar to other reports, The Vision will be 100 percent Paul Bettany with his face and body all in metallic form, very shiny with gold, red, and green (as well as the yellow cape).

Here's some footage of filming from the film that shows Thor, Cap and Stark and people wearing blue that are said to be 'Avengers recruits'.

" Eisenberg's Luthor has a lot of hair, loose and wavy and dirty blonde and has a lot spastic mannerisms"

I don't think Eisenberg could play any other type. As someone who liked Man of Steel much more than most, this is still the most disappointing casting regarding the sort-of-sequel.
