This week saw the end of the Guitar Hero franchise... at least for the time being. Until the reanimated ghost of Judy Nails or Johnny Napalm shows up on the gaming scene again, let's reminisce.

Maybe you don't know what I'm talking about? Watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rv2rfPMMQgs

Top 5 Guitar Hero songs, go!

1. Jessica
2. Sweet Child of Mine (don't act like its recent resurfacing has nothing to do with how fun the song is to play.)
3. Because It's Midnite
4. Thunderhorse
5. Surrender

All the best songs were from 1, 2, and Rock the 80's. Just sayin'.

Sweet Child of Mine was a close one. If it was top 6, that'd be on it.

What's the fun of this thread without linking the song too?!

And since I had to look at the setlists of each game cause I couldn't remember some songs, I realized how crappy the first Guitar Hero's setlist was. And I'd have to say 2 and 3 were the best even though I only played them up to World Tour.

Reptilia - The Strokes

Jessica - The Allman Brother Band

Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses

Cliffs of Dover - Eric Johnson

YYZ - Rush

I could probably also so One and Free Bird, but they took too long and I'm not sure if I ever actually beat them

Pull me under was awesome.

Raining Blood was a bastard, and Paint it black was excellent.

I only really know a couple.

Lay Down - Priestess
The Metal - Tenacious D

And, what the heck, I'll throw in some 'non-official' ones too:

Holy Orders
Transformers film theme (1986)
Grabbag

The song I played more than any other song in the Guitar Hero Franchise:

Freezepop - Less Talk More Rokk

Though, to be honest, I stopped playing GH after GH 2.
