Yesterday, while cleaning up my media center, I found my copy of Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus, which I bought sometime before Christmas last year. I had been pretty excited about this game pre-release, what with it being the first "traditional", albeit shorter than usual,...

I've seen the movies before but... okay get this, I'm twenty five years old and I've only seen The Spy Who Shagged Me once - when I was twelve.

Don't get me wrong. I thought it was hilarious. I was just tired as crap while watching it.

Just watch the first one rain. The other two are ok, but rely too much on jokes recycled from the first.

Man of Steel...was AWESOME!

every punch sounded terrific. And I think the director just loved that sonic boom.

4.5/5.

PS - I loved Lois Lane!

Just saw Cloud Atlas. What a convoluted mess that was, Too much going on and not enough background was given to help explain anything. Not to mention the awful accents the actors tried to pull off. Maybe I just didn't *get* it but god it was hard to sit through. 1/10 would not reccomend.

Man of Steel. I wasn't expecting much, but I really, really liked it. It was silly, of course, but still very good.

I liked the part where Supes is beating the shit out of Zod in midair the best.

Agreed, Dan. Te fights were epic. Remember the Matrix 3 end fight. This made it look even stupider.

I'm supposed to be seeing Monsters: University tonight, I'll post about it later and let you all know how it is.

I'd like to see Man of Steel as well as World War Z.

I finally saw Man of Steel. It was incredible. I don't know why it's getting so much hate on Rottentomatoes. I mean did those critics even see Superman Returns?

I was hoping this would set up a JL film franchise how Iron Man set up the Avengers franchise. But alas there were no Easter Eggs at the end, just a set up for a sequel.

Ah well.

Ah well.

In order for an Easter Egg, Warner Bros would have to have even some semblance of an idea of what they were going to do next.

Maybe the critics are suffering from superhero movie fatigue? When Superman Returns came out in 2006, the only big superhero movies that had come out in recent years were a couple Spider-Man movies, a couple X-Men movies, a Batman reboot, and that failed Hulk movie. Big-budget summer blockbusters about superheroes were still kind of a new thing.

Since Superman Returns, there has been three Iron Man movies, a Thor movie, a Captain America movie, a big movie to bring the former together, two Batman sequels, a Spider-Man sequel, a Spider-Man reboot, an X-Men reboot, a Hulk reboot, and the failed Green Arrow movie. Not to mention less "traditional" comic book superhero movies such as Kick Ass and Watchmen.

If they're getting tired of superhero movies, well, tough, because there's going to be another Thor movie out later this year, and next year they have another Captain America movie, another Spider-Man movie, and another X-Men movie. The year after that, another Avengers movie, and allegedly that Justice League movie. Don't expect them to get good reviews.

Anyways. That's my theory as to why Superman Returns is a better-reviewed movie than Man of Steel. (Note: I haven't seen either of the Superman movies.)

Admittedly, there are some great moments, but it was horrible throughout.

Caught World War Z this weekend at the theaters. As somebody who read 40% of the book, then deemed it horrible and moved on to the Game of Thrones series, I thought the movie was highly entertaining. The book was drab, slow, with a horrible plot layout. The movie got right to the action, was fast-paced, and thoroughly well done.

I will say this. If you read and enjoyed the book....do NOT see this movie. From what I saw, and what my friend who read (and enjoyed) the full book said, there is literally NOTHING from the book that makes it into the movie. The plot is totally different, the layout of the story, the zombies are completely different...hell even the endgame is different. The thing they are striving to accomplish the entire story is different from the book to the movie. It's literally like they just decided to make a pretty good action zombie movie, and slap the name of a well known book on it.

Anyway...bottom line. Good zombie action movie if you didnt read or didnt like the book. Horrible book adaption of a movie if you read and enjoyed the book.
