Was searching around the On Demand selections and came across that Muppets Movie that came out a little while back. I used to watch the actual Muppet Show back when I was a youngin so I thought my kids would like it and I would get a little nostalgia trip out of it at the same time.

Man, could they not care less about the Muppets. They got bored and stopped paying attention about halfway through and the movie was pretty blah to top it off. I think it's Jason Segal (sp?) really. Most of the stuff I see him in, I don't find him particularly funny or entertaining. He's got like zero range as an actor. Every movie he is the same character. The earnest, yet hapless, slightly pathetic good guy or some shit like that.

Tangent aside, Muppets get a 2/5 Woulda gave it a three but then they thought it would be funny to have Chris Cooper rap....

World War Z

Wow... That was really horrible, with the exception of some great tension in the beginning and a cool Jump scare in the second act (that would have been way scarier if the trailer didn't ruin it by showing us the plane scene).

This is a zombie movie for people who can't take a lot of blood and gore. It feels really watered down and the CGI zombies were cartoonish just like the creatures in I Am Legend.

Also in a time where zombies are everywhere in TV, movies and games. It will take more than a war of the worlds knock off with zombies instead of aliens.

I just watched this one also, as a random Netflix pick.

Holy shit that movie was absolutely terrible. Like, it was probably the most generic bullshit movie I have seen.

Monsters University

I saw Monsters Inc with my 7 year old cousin and it instantly became his favourite movie ever. I think I saw it another 5 times with him before I couldn't take it anymore. Today he's 17 and we went to go see Monsters University.

It was alot of fun and if you liked the first movie you'll like this one too. The plot doesn't hold up to Pixar standards but it's got enough laughs and enough heart to make it a solid film.

^I saw a preview for that today during Man of Steel. I would watch that.

Man of Steel 4/5 - Pretty good. I liked the ending. I wonder who the next villian will be. Lex? Brainiac? Bizzaro superman? I like that I dont know, and I will probably watch the next one as long as the lead stays the same and Snyder directs it. Lois is expendable. I liked most of this film actually, but I'm not giving it a 5/5 pass because it isn't an original story.

a Christopher Reeve cameo was digitally spliced into Man of Steel

in the scene where Soups flies into the terraforming machine. Very nice. I knew there was something """ "SUPER" """" about that scene.

F*ck I didn't see that!. I did see there may be a chance for Supergirl, because when Superman was checking out the ship, he saw bunch of pods with skeletal remains in them, but one pod was empty thus a Kryptonian is still unknown to be found, Supergirl!

Nice. Only Easter Egg I saw was the LexCorp truck that exploded. I searched Google but couldn't find a pic of it.

And I really hope they avoid Lex Luthor in the next one. Superman can't really battle Luthor the way he fought Zod and now that we have the tech for it I'd rather see more ass-kicking. Also there are other Superman villians who haven't been on the big screen yet.

I thought that was just Zod's pod.

Ugh, that was actually explained in one of the tie in comics. Also, that ship was 20,000 years old.

As for cameos, the satellite that Zod and Kal crash into at the end says "Wayne Enterprises" on it. There was also a STAR Labs reference and Blaze Comics has a building.

Whose ship is this?

It's a Pod, baby.

Whose Pod is this?

Zod's Pod, baby. Zod's Pod.

Actually, you're on the right track. The ship was one of the house of El ancestors, and the empty pod did in fact contain Kara Zor-El, or Supergirl. That's why the armor inside that Superman gets has the house of El logo on it.

longo, with the fail coding.

Just saw WWZ. I'd give it 3.5/5. It was pretty decent all around, pretty good tension, but very bloodless. Pretty surprising given all the shit that's come out about how bad the production ended up being, with script re-writes and re-shoots.

explored this film again. Tried to find plot holes, couldnt. Pretty well thought out, IMO. I just didn't like the way it was shot and the superfast paced style talking.

Good catch with the Reeve cameo, Optimus. I was going to add that to my next comic movie news update.

I just finished Silent Hill: Revelation. As with the last film, you can really tell that both are love letters to games. I really liked it. The spider-mannequin was freaky as hell. Out of everything though, what I marked out the most on was the hospital map on the wall; it looked to be the same one as from SH3.

Earlier today, for the first time I watched Rambo 2 and 3. I'm a child of the 80s but I didn't even see the First Blood until last year.
