Iron Man 3, finally!

It was, uh, you know, whatever. Fine, I guess.

Yeah that and it's essentially Incredibles.

Saw Thor and really liked it. It was silly at parts, but I think it needs that since it's the most out there of the Marvel properties.

Also watched a ton of Arrow over the weekend. This is such a better show than Smallville which I couldn't stand.

It's way better than Agents of SHIELD, which Agents of SHIELD was cool for the first episode.

I saw Anchorman 2. It was funny enough but it could've been shorter by removing some parts. Also, saw Frozen again and continue to like it and some of the modernizations that Dianey applied to their normal themes.

I watched a couple of them in the last few days. So let's go through them all, shall we?

The Hobbit Part 2

Honestly, I enjoyed this, but I was still a bit disappointed with it. It was two and a half hours long of setting up for the next movie. It could've been an hour and a half long and done the same thing. Visually it was nice, but besides that, eh. Also the new elf bitch was poorly written in clearly to just include a single female character, and as a result was annoying as fuck and simply produced ANOTHER line of "shit that was happening" to add to three others already.

3.5/5

Die Hard

Okay, I admit, I had never seen Die Hard before. Enough said, it was amazing.

5/5

Frozen

I went into this not knowing what it was about, and it pleased me greatly. In a lot of ways, it was just a redux of Tangled (and while I enjoyed Tangled, I have no desire to see it again) by having the naive princess who is locked away from society emerging and trying to survive, the street smart attractive young man who is tasked with taking care of her, the horse that acts like a dog, and a few other things. Except besides that, it was much, much better than Tangled. It still lacked a lot of what the Disney Renaissance had, but it was still enjoyable.
4.3/5

Elf

I had never seen this one either, and from what everyone said about it I expected it to be more than Will Ferrel acting silly for an hour and a half. Which it wasn't.

It was Will Ferrel acting silly for an hour and forty five minutes.

3.5/5

All the opinion you've been spouting for the past 20 years is completely null and void. You can start fresh now that you've seen Die Hard.

I had a small BBC Sherlock marathon. I really like the show. Modernization of the Sherlock story works surprisingly well and Benedict + Martin work together great as a Sherlock/Watson combo.

Aye and let's include his comment on that desolation of smaug. The movie was awesome and Tauriel is incredible also kickass. Even getting a higher body counts then poor Legolas.

Longo hates her cause he just wants Kili for himself.

The new episode is really great. One of the best episodes of television I've seen in a long time.

Saw American Hustle a few nights ago with the folks. Great movie. Great acting. Incredibly funny. The cast was ridiculous as well: Jeremy Renner, Christian Bale (fat, with a combover and a bronx accent), Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Robert Di Nero, and Louis CK.

Really, go see it. My only complaint is that it felt a little long at times, and had some flat stretches, but I still immensely enjoyed it. 4.5/5.

It's more that all she did was add an entirely unimportant love triangle and more characters to a movie that was already too long and had too many characters in it.

Though my problem with it was more that they just had too much unnecessary stuff thrown in. Like Legolas. The movie was two and a half hours long and barely progresses 3 of the 4 subplots. That's just ridiculous.

Catching Fire. I liked it, but was reminded how much I hated the end of the second book.

Also, favorite moment was realizing Wiress was Honey Bunny.

I saw This Is 40 last night. One of those movies I just missed then never got around to seeing.

It was hilarious. As a fan of LOST and Mad Men I enjoyed the references. Albert Brooks was great and the more I think about it, the more I realize I haven't seen a movie with Paul Rudd that I didn't love.

It dragged on a bit too long but it was great nonetheless.
