What is 2013's Hot Summer Jam? You know, the super-popular song that you hear everywhere; at parties, clubs, mix tapes, coming from rolled down car windows, in totally unrelated commercials and movie trailers six months from now, etc. What is the "Call Me Maybe," the "Crazy," the "Crazy in Love" of 2013?
My guess so far is "Get Lucky," but is it mainstream enough? I think it has already established itself as the Hipster Summer Anthem (sometimes the two do converge, like with "Paper Planes") but is it "hot" enough to be be the Hot Summer Jam?

But I'm afraid I can't help you here, having just heard this "call me maybe" song recently and assuming it was brand new. So I'm just going to echo Matt and say BLAST THAT SHIT.
Is this for some DJ gig you're doing? Or are you making a mix CD for somebody?

If I had to say one song, then yeah probably Get Lucky, even though it hasn't been nearly as massive as what I think you're talking about.

You must not have listened to the entire album because it's really good.

Nope, I was just curious. I haven't been listening to much new music and started wondering.
This track reminded me of the other Hot Summer Jam/Hipster Summer Anthem crossover hit from 2011: "Pumped Up Kicks"

Actually, it reminds me of "I Would Do Anything for You". Both are from Foster the People, though. You were on the right track.
Now excuse me while I listen to Pumped Up Kicks on repeat for the rest of the day.

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...
