Wii U: Interested?

For me, no. This device does not bring Nintendo to the next level, it's simply a disappointing sequel. Doesn't a sequel need bring more to the table to get an equal grade to the original?

HD graphics is not a draw considering that current consoles already do that. Pass.

The new touch screen remote is a cool feature but it truly is only Wiimote 2.0 and not something on a new level so I'll pass.

Oh wow, it can do multiplatform games? I don't have two consoles and a PC that can do that already. And basically, the only things they offer for it are the vague promises of a Super Smash Bros game, which means that they've only just started it and it won't be around when they release it next year, if it even does get released next year.

Though it's far from ready now, it's going to need a lot of shit backing it in order to justify spending a likely $300-400 on it.

Wii U should have been the Wii in the first place.

My opinion. I'll probably buy it, but after it's received a couple of price slashes and when their library fills up.

The Wii is a nice console, but there just weren't enough good games. Though I do not regret the purchase.

if they bring back non gimmicky old school classics, ie. zelda, donkey kong, mario, etc. built with the capabilities of the new hardware in mind, i'll be all over it. until i see that happen, i won't.

one day nintendo will learn they have to return to their roots, gimmicky shit doesn't sell. it does at first, then word of mouth spreads that it's terrible, and nothing more sells.

I can't see this doing well in NA and Europe. However, in Japan it makes sense since many families live in small apartments where families do alot of sharing.

But growing up I always had my own space for gaming so there was never a need to let my parents use the same TV I was playing on.
