I figure we need something new, so how about we combine the terrible opinionated argumentation of music with the many video game showdowns we’ve done in the past?
And thus, we have the first ever Video Game Music Showdown Extravaganza Event Live!
Now, the way this is done is simple. We have a bunch of video game music going up against each other on a day to day thing, you vote, one winner.
The rules are also simple.
You can nominate any 8 songs from any game, with only one limitation. No licensed music. So, nothing that wasn’t made for the game. Besides that, it can be anything. Just put the name of the song and the game it’s from, and if you want throw in a Youtube or some MP3 link with it. Those’ll all be included when it comes to the actual showdown time.
But that’s all there is to it! Easy!
Nominations are open and will close… eventually. If we don’t get enough, I’ll throw in a few and open up extra nominations to whoever wants them.

| I had heard that SNES Earthbound wasn't re-released as a downloadable title because alot of the music on that was licensed. Can anybody shed light on this? |

For the purpose of this, I mean if it's like a Linkin Park song or something that they put into the game, or something from like Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. Besides that, I'm lenient.

Longo, I'm also assuming you'd like to avoid music that is licensed from other adaptations of the IP? For example, the Star Wars theme, used in a billion games but from the movies originally.
