I'm buying a 360 for this game. I've said I'd buy a 360 before, but when it comes to Halo I just can't help myself. Except for halo 3...Reach...ODST. But this time's different!

I'm buying one today alongside Halo: CE Anniversary. I don't have much time for gaming anymore...but I could find time for Halo...i mean ll=ll//=\\ll_((o)). yes i have it bad for the halo series leave me alone about it.

Ugh, I get a 3 month voucher for Xbox Live, correct? I'm going to spring for the year long, but a 3 month comes with the console if I'm not mistaken. Can I carry the 3 month over into the year long account, or do I have to make a whole new account once the 3 month trial is over?

I don't remember if it comes with a 3 month of XBL service. Most likely one month or 48 hours. You don't need to create another account, they'll tell you via email your subscription is about to expire. You then could use your credit card info or redeem a pre-paid code to extend your XBL service.

You can also stack your subscriptions and put in both codes for 15 months, theoretically.

I was given bad intel then, so thanks for that good info. I'm on my way to buy it now. Sucks I waited too long to preorder the limited edition halo 4, but thems the breaks. This regular edition will have to do. I'm excited for vidya gamin'! yay!

A tweet Ugh mentioned me in made me think of this, what will everyone be diving into first? I traditionally play through an entire campaign before starting into multiplayer but if everyone from GR is on there playing together then how could I resist.

Damn the reviews being so early. Gonna make the waiting feel that much longer.

I am also interested in how it will really look in the end. Playing every halo game including anniversary was a jagged mess being upscaled to 1080p.
I didn't read any performance problems in Alex's review.

I did find a quote from the Dev though
“We are full 720p this time around; we are 30fps, which we have always been. For us, making sure we are locked at 30fps is the priority and that those large-scale encounters feel good.”

Halo 4’s engine is in fact modified version of the engine used in Halo: Reach. Wolfkill confirmed that 343 spent a lot of Halo 4’s development ensuring the engine was capable of rendering the ambitious vision the studio had for the game.

“This version of the engine is based off the Halo: Reach engine,” explained Wolfkill, “but we’ve done ton of work on it and in some cases rebuilt whole parts of it from scratch. That was driven early on by the parts of the game we really wanted to invest in.”

“Lighting, is certainly one of them, AI is another and audio, too. Areas where we really wanted to push beyond what had been done before and some of those systems have been extensively rebuilt.”

Hopefully it won't have the insane, crippling lag issues that Reach has.
Shit, it was reaching (hah) 10-15FPS in some areas.
